#445 – Convulsion

It’s funny how allergies can change over time. When I was a kid we had a few different cats and dogs at my house. I also spent a lot of time at my friends house across the street and they had something like 17 cats over there. I was never bothered by being around cats until years later. It actually took me a few rounds of crazy allergic reactions to figure out what was going on. I’m good now that I have learned to not sleep inside the same room as the cat’s litter box.

Thanks for all the Book #2 pre-orders that came in the first week! I’m excited that I got some super sketch orders. Those are going to be fun to do. Order any version of Book #2 during the pre-order period and I’ll sign it and write whatever else you want for free!

Did he sneeze on the cake or did the cake sneeze on him?

  2. Bunnyman says:

He he. Sneeze cake. You’ve given me a great idea. Next time one of my friends tells me to bake them a cake for whatever reason, I’m gonna put a pump inside it and just when the go to cut it, BOOM! There goes the cake.

  3. Dustin says:

    Pump?
Just put a balloon in there. Doesn’t need to blow up on them, just scare the bajeezus out of them.

  4. Micah says:

For some reason this makes me think of Yakov Smirnoff. “In Soviet Russia, cake sneezes on you!”

  5. Bubble says:

how would you cook a cake with a balloon inside it, making sure that it doesn’t pop???

  6. RFPT says:

cook the cake, cut it in half, carve out the insides, place a balloon in there, put it back together, ice it. easy.

  7. PsychoDuck says:

I can tell you’ve done this before, RFPT.

Remind me never to have you make my birthday cake.

    The Duck Has Spoken.

  8. VampirePumpkins says:

    >.> The first thing I thought of when I read that was ‘Ew’.
Xp Who wants a sneezy cake?

  9. SEA says:

Good thing i have no allergies. None that i know of anyway.

  10. RFPT says:

no, it’s just that kind of logic that got me into the MacGyver University of Engineering…

  11. MaskedMan says:

What else in Biff’s kitchen is allergic to Biff..?

  12. Gobbledegook says:

RFPT: I bow down in awe of the great idea you just gave me… Don’t worry, I will give you all the credit when my friends start chasing me, though.
    😉

I’m deathly allergic to hay… my face swells up and then I stop breathing. I used to be allergic to cats too, until I got one.

  13. Ben says:

How ironic, I’m allergic to the egg sweets on the cake.

  14. roy_vf1s says:

Holy wow… I just coughed all over my coffee cake when I tried not to laugh. How ironic!

RFPT, you give me the impression that I should never trust you with anything more complicated than a rubber band and a sheet of paper if I were to hold you in a prison cell.

Scratch that… a completely empty concrete room – just you and enough oxygen to keep you alive. And fully monitored at all times by CCTV. 😛

  15. Reg says:

Biff! What happened to one slice of cake per day?! How will you be able to keep your slim, pale frame?
But besides that, you guys that want to have ballons in cakes, make sure no one has latex allergies…

  16. Jackson says:

    >> What else in Biff’s kitchen is allergic to Biff..?

I suspect that Sneeze Cake is not just allergic to Biff, but *everything.*

Knowing Biff, it was probably his idea to bake that cake himself. “A cake whose defining trait is its universal allergies? Sounds positively delicious!”

  17. Graceofbass says:

lol. I’m allergic to all kinds of things, so I hae allergies year-round. When I sneeze, it’s almost always 5-7 times, unless I manage to get it all out in one big one. Some of my professors have learned to stop talking and just wait out the sneezing before they continue.

  18. speearr says:

Haha! It took me a second to realize that the cake sneezed on him. “Sneezing cake” would’ve cleared the mystery.

  19. the Scarf says:

The Balloon idea has been done before….with a water balloon too….

    I saw it on AFV….

  20. RFPT says:

I’ve seen the matrix, I could get out of your concrete room…

  21. MOD says:

does being allergic to hard work count?

nah, i’m only allergic to certain types of eggs….if that makes sense?

  22. Silfedac says:

I have hay fever. Or as I call it in season, hay feffer.

Relating to the comic, the same thing happened to my dad. He lived in the area I live in now for his whole life with no problems, moved away for five years, then moved back and was allergic to everything.

Again relating to the comic, the opposite happened to my friend. He was allergic to nuts for as long as I knew him, but just recently his allergy mysteriously cleared up. Which sucks, ’cause now we can’t taunt him with little packs of airline peanuts anymore.

  23. Brendan says:

I don’t have any allergies, and what is more I don’t think anyone else does either: you all just want attention! “Boo hoo my throat is closing up and I’m dying!” why don’t you all call 1 800 WAAAAAH ?

I eat live bees for breakfast seasoned with mammal dander and peanut sauce, and followed by a big chunk of gluten. I breathe on anyone with “allergies” and they go down like a tonne of bricks and balloon up in a most amusing way. What I wonder is how they know what I have for breakfast though

  24. Brendan says:

I forgot about the dandelion salad with rose pollen for seconds

  25. Velociraptor says:

you people are crazy…no wait… US people are crazy.

that would explain the little green bunnies… my, such teeth. uh oh.

  26. Karen says:

A lot of people who think they’re allergic to cats are actually just allergic to cat litter. The clay in it sets a lot of people off. Switching to natural wood-chip litter (or just sending the kitties outside to do their business) makes the allergy disappear.

  27. emthegreat says:

i only realized i am allergic to dogs this year. i’m a really violent sneezer, so when my Bestie Maggie got a new dog, i knocked myself out of a chair.

  28. emthegreat says:

i’m allergic to cats and rodents. i had a guinea pig until my mom had to drive me to the emergency room. then we got rid of it.

  29. Radical Edward says:

I became allergic to tomatoes when I turned 20. It really bothers me since I love tomatoes

  30. Zach Light says:

aw man, that is just disgusting from both views….i’m developing a fear of cheeze cake now….why, don’t know…..

Reminds me of this story of a guys face that was being eaten away by bread mold.
