Chapter: Comics
When I was a kid we had a vacuum cleaner that used water to trap the dirt rather than a bag. It was my job to go dump the dirty water out back when my mom was done cleaning. It was heavy and awkward to carry but I didn’t really mind because I got to reclaim all the little Lego bricks and other miscellaneous tiny toys that got vacuumed up.

If only I could do that… Haha!
The only item I can remember having gotten vacuumed up was a tiny, red teddybear made of plastic. I had played with the little teddybear on the carpet, and then it was just gone… Luckily, mom rescued the teddybear for me!
My grandmother had one of those. “Rainbow” is what they’re called.
My dad almost became a salesman for Rainbow once. A rep even came to the house for a demo. I think us four kids had more fun with the vacuum than the grown-ups did.
Sold vacuums of another brand for awhile, but from what I was told, the Rainbow vacuums were originally supposed to be air filtration devices for hospitals.
My dad still uses a water-type vacuum cleaner.
I wish i could do this after going to a bar with some of my friends. I inhale so much cigar smoke, my throat hurts, and i cough for the next day.
When i get home, i have to take a shower, and put all my clothes to wash. They just stink to smoke.
The car vacuum my stepdad has uses water.
We had a Rainbow like that.
