#1574 – Boost

My first car was a 1979 Camaro. I could park right up a few inches away from things because I could see the nose of the car from the driver’s seat. I freaked out the first time I drove a modern compact car. The front was much shorter and sloped down and away from me. I parked a few feet away from everything because I was so paranoid that I was just about to hit it.

  1. What a cool looking car! I like its happy face! But how does Biff get inside the car? Does the window flip open, like on some toy vehicles?

  2. I used to think the idea that girls would go for a guy’s car was ridiculous. My guy came over in a Corvette and I was all “meh.”

When we told another guy’s mom, though, she got all crazy eyed. “Oh? What kind? What year? What color? Talk to me all about it.”

I no longer doubt the stories. I just think of mom’s when I hear ’em.

Not a car to take the driver’s test in!

My first driving test was with a Fiat Spider. If you don’t know, it’s tiny. When it came time for the parallel parking test, I pulled in nose first, got out, and picked up he back end and dropped it in place. The cop still failed me for it.

Hah, I got what feels like a porch bumper on the front end of my old farm truck, I don’t parallel park it for good reasons,

Now my old 79 Toyota pickup now that’s a interesting parkjob, I can see the nose no issue it’s the other end I havta worry bout.

yeah, my car slopes down in the front too. i can’t see the front end, so i kind of guess when i’m close enough to stuff.
