#1557 – Bottle

The first time I used an airplane bathroom I burst out laughing at how ridiculously small it was. I imagine there are some people that have to enter in reverse because there is no possible way they would be able to rotate. It makes me curious if the ones in first class are any different.

  1. I have never traveled by airplane, let alone used an airplane bathroom.

However, mom just told me a funny thing when she saw this comic: Back when she worked at that gas station, the customers who needed to use the bathroom had to borrow a key, and the people who worked at the gas station used to tie items to the key so that nobody would steal it. One time, this item was an empty bottle… But then they figured out that it would be better to change it with another item, so that nobody would use the bottle instead of the small and crummy toilet…

Some of the smaller, non-chain stations still do this. Kind of like the Hall Pass at certain schools, a good policy is to make the object big and chunky/clunky enough to insure it doesn’t get lost or stolen.

Now, don’t get me started on the toilets on Greyhound buses. Especially using one while the bus is pulling out from a stop.

In my parents’ house is a bathroom that is almost as small as an airplane bathroom. It even has a tiny round stainless steel sink. The real joke is that the exhaust fan in it is so loud, it’s like you really ARE in an airplane when you go in and close the door.

Are there TSA rules about bringing fluids OFF of an airplane?

XD…..I have been always afraid of being sucked out of the toilet. By the way, where does all the waste go? Do they drop it mid-air? Can you get dropped mid-air? X)

there’s a container that the waste goes into, and it get’s cleaned out occasionally. If you’ll pardon the pun, that would be a pretty crappy job to have.

I was lucky enough to fly on an ANA Boeing 787 recently. They have *very* nice bathrooms (Japanese-style washlets; toilets with built-in bidet). The bathroom I was in even had a window!

A ‘Lemonade Grenade”? My old Dad, as a kid (in the Depression), once thought he’d found a pint of whiskey on the roadside; NOPE, recycled!
