Chapter: Comics
A few days ago I had sushi for lunch. Then I had a delicious daifuku which is a sort of bean-filled rice cake. I followed that up with a box of rice candy. The kind with the rice paper wrapper that you eat. I’m trying to say that I eat a lot of rice and can’t be stopped.

Where do you get wagashi like that in the States? ‘Cause I gotta admit that yokan looks pretty darn good. (And those daifuku, too. Mmm.)
I saw something on TV about thin clothes that could be folded up so neatly that they could be stored in books without any pages in them. This was a long time ago, however, and I don’t remember if the clothes were really made of paper, or if they just happened to *look* that way anyway.
Rice paper clothing was probably even *trendier* after that. White shirts haven’t disappeared, after all.
Where id you find daifuku?! Geez, that stuff is delicious. I’ve resorted to ordering it online and having it shipped to me.
There are a bunch of places in the Chicago suburbs to get stuff like this. It will usually say “asian market” somewhere on the building. Some of them are more Japanese foods some are more Korean. Here are two of my favorites:

I wonder if Flash Paper on a hot day is more dramatic?
