#1263 – Prism

Rainbows are still amazing to me. I guess I don’t go outside as much as when I was a kid so I don’t see them nearly as often. All rainbow-like things were amazing when I was a kid. The sheen on bubbles, gasoline spilled into a puddle, “laser hologram” stickers. I still remember being amazed the first time I saw a compact disc. “Wow look, a rainbow!”

Today’s Maximumble has a plan.

    “WHAT DOES IT MEAN???”

It occurs to me that this comic doesn’t make much sense as posted. Rainbows are only visible if the sun is behind the observer, so either we shouldn’t be seeing the rainbow, or Biff’s just staring into an ordinary sprinkler, sans rainbow – although I can kind of see him doing that, anyway.

But with the money that the leprechauns have, i would mind finding their socks, dirty or not.

wow. when I was a kid running through the sprinkler I’d try to get it to make a rainbow so I could jump through it.. or over it if you made it flow slower. good times.

Hey, I got sent here by Adam from Bug, and I just finished the archive trawl It was worth it, Biff is “teh awesome” – thanks for it.

“Uh-Oh, It’s a Dinosaur!” has a voting thing this month with pictures of the main characters drawn in different webcomic styles. Today’s voting image is Kyra drawn in Biff’s style. Just thought I’d let you know. 🙂

Finally, someone drew a rainbow right. You wouldn’t believe how many things are out there where they put yellow before red. Everything from cartoons to that painting outside the parent lounge at the Niagara Falls hospital.

The second-grade field trip to San Diego Harbor was my introduction and memorable (sixty years later); hope there’s a lot less oil slick these days…
