Chapter: Comics
When I go to to someone’s house for the first time I like to try and casually discover if they have a shoes on or shoes off policy. Usually a shoes off place will have an elaborate shoe removal and storage area just inside the door. If it’s ambiguous I will begin to take my shoes off and then wait for either “Put your shoes over here.” or “Oh, you don’t have to take your shoes off.”
This is a courtesy that has never been deployed by any person I have paid to come into my house to repair something. I doesn’t matter what snow, rain or mud they just walked through. It’s now being tracked back and forth through my living room.
Today’s Maximumble prefers rocky road.

That ain’t Bigfoot – Them’s my brother’s foot prints. Why didn’t I get an invite too..? 😛
Is it just me, or does Biff have GNOME logos on his floor? They’ve got one toe print too many, but still …
Don’t you have foot rug’s at your house’s entrance, in the US? to clean your feet?
Sure we do.
Mud still gets in, when there’s enough of it. 😉
See, the solution here is when they track crap through your house, you bring them either a mop (if wood or linoleum) or a steam cleaner (if carpeted) and say “Now clean it up.”
Seems to be an American thing. Here in Canada, we always take our shoes off.
Mystical creatures week?
@Rhiakath: We do have doormats. They just don’t use them.
I have found that the solution is to not wear shoes in the first place. However, I do carry a rag with me to wipe my feet and I have socks standard issue in some of my bags.
OMG, he knows big foot?? I do wonder how a garden party would go over with a fellow like that.
@maskedman those are also my sisters foot prints
@mysteryman203;
OK, now I’m worried… Is there something my brother hasn’t been telling me..? 😮
I don’t get those crazy countries where people have shoes on all day long. You get smelly feet, you’re never comfortable and you bring in roughly 600% more dirt indoors which you then spread around everywhere. Maybe it’s a remnant of the age of dirt floors?
LOL! Petunia in the movie “The Stupids” does this with a watermelon, though the results are not hardly as messy
And I just commented on the wrong cartoon… That’s the danger in multitabbed cartoon browsing lol… I was meaning #795
