Chapter: Comics
Sticky floors aren’t so bad when they are in places you expect them to be. Movie theater, glue factory, octopus’s garden. It’s a lot more disturbing when you find them in a doctor’s office or library. It’s the kind of thing that makes me consider purchasing new shoes on the way home.

Poor unfortunate soles.
The Duck Has Spoken.
It isn’t just the floors. I went to a matinee a few weeks back and had to peel my shirt off the chair because someone had stuck their gum to the back.
Bad news: it wrecked the shirt. Good news: I complained to theater management and got a free ticket to a future show of my choice. The glass is half-full.
I actually had someone put chewing gum on my chair at my desk at work. No one of the others around my desk had seen who did it, so I still wonder who would do that to their co-workers?
PS: I still haven’t gotten all of the gum off of the chair!
Sticky floors in a *library*?
Really, that’s burn the shoes when you leave time.
At least in the doctor’s office, there’s some limit as to what you could imagine it to be.
The kinds of ‘sticky’ one might find in a doctor’s office are most CERTAINLY “burn the shoes” kinds of sticky.
Trust me on this – I’m a parent, and I *know* what kids can hork up at a doctor’s office…
Eeeewww.. This is why I avoid movie theaters >_<
and you forgot the used condom in the corner >_>
Well, movie theatres it’s expected, Doctor’s office… sometimes? not too often that I’ve considered, but I remain healthy enough that I have very few visits, so maybe I’m the wrong person to ask, but a library?!
My imagination made a single jump, stuck where it landed (pun intended, if only to keep my mind off of the subject now that it’s been revealed), and I have to agree, “burn your shoes time.”
Well, less gross (I suppose) are the cases I know. Places like Ahoy Rotterdam where everything sticks of beer xD
That are the only places they clean only once so often because of the rate the cleaned stuff gets bad again. All others are almost always clean, except for some cinema’s that have popcorn and such allowed inside…
I once lost my wallet in a theater. It was hell searching under all the seats for it, looking through the sticky mess of soda and popcorn. On the way home, I emptied it and threw it away, buying a new one.
Sticky floor in the office…
Thus explaining the popularity of home video…
A guy I know online works in a library. After some of his stories, I’m just glad my local library is nothing like the one where he works. As much as I love to read, I’m not sure I could make myself go in. Sticky floors aren’t the half of it.
I work at a theater and I can tell you none of the auditoriums ever get that disgustingly sticky. But then again corporate came down about a week ago and apparently we have the cleanest, most well kept theater that they have seen. Maybe because we actually do clean.
BUT, i have on one occasion had a manager tell me “it’s better that it’s sticky than to be wet”, because they don’t want people to be able to slip and hurt themselves.
Hmmm. Mever considered nasty-sticky floors to be a safety asset. Interesting point…
The theme: STICK
Where’s the Biff?
LMAO, wow, too true.
Now what is the Theme. Thought it was summer for sure but this threw me off.
Apparently its breaking things week.
I always related movies and summer. Probably that whole “school’s out” thing.
if his shoes are so sticky then why does he go to the movies?
Is this the first TBOB strip that doesn’t actually have Biff in it?
In a doctors office?
