#1108 – Matchbox

I recently found a box of my old Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars and excitedly brought it down from the attic to show my son. Most of them had barely any paint left on them and some were actually disintegrating into metal powder. It quickly went from “Hey check this out!” to “Okay, lets close this up and go wash our hands 3 times.”

    Haha. Car-y.
That’s the problem with display models. They always look much better than when you actually buy the item.
Did Biff pay full-price for this?

I’ve still got plenty of those, I think there even might be some cars from my dad.

Yeah, I have none of my Matchbox cars left. Me and my brothers were a little rough on our toys. Hint, never leave them parked on top of a toaster oven in use. Or strap heavy objects on top of them and roll them across carpet. Or use them as catapult ammunition. Did I mention explosives?

I never played with toy cars as a kid – too busy with LEGO – but I now have a couple that I maintain more regularly than my actual car. A bland beige Buick just doesn’t give the flavor of a slick mini-RC Hummer H2.

Some day, some archaeologist is going to go straight bonkers trying to figure the signifigance of the little toy cars sacrificed in my childhood back yard… Ther must be several dozen destroyed, burried, or simply lost back there.

Biff has a good taste for cars!
Even if it is just a Matchbox one, it looks like he was looking forward to have a Camaro.
    XD

…I despise Matchbox cars. They made them out of plastic. Still do, to my knowledge. Hot Wheels, on the other hand, are made of metal. And they make great catapult artillery. >:D
