i love the look on the snowman’s face

  2. LordRetard says:

    I feel stupid… I don’t get it.

    1. Nobody says:

the ice he’s holding his breath

  3. Chris says:

That’s ok. You don’t have to get all of them. Just pretend that it’s not funny. 🙂

  4. LordRetard says:

But that leaves me with the worry that maybe the joke is that it doesn’t make any sense, and then I find it funny… I’m in a bit of a dilemma here.

  5. Chris says:

I COULD explain it but I don’t think they are ever funny if you get them explained to you.

  6. Joseph Fitch says:

Ehehehe, it took me forever to get that one.

It must be pretty cold where Biff lives >.

  7. prometheus says:

The solution is elementary, my dear LordRetard: You know how you can see your breath in the winter? Where Biff lives, it is apparently so cold that the cloud froze, and Biff is holding the frozen cloud.

  9. MetMan says:

So he held his breath… neat.

  10. TKort says:

Forecast says I should be able to do that tomorrow .. ugh.. 🙂

I wish I was as tough as Biff and could survive at that temperature with just a T-shirt on.

  11. Chris says:

He can survive a lot more than cold! 🙂

  12. ND Kid says:

Tkort, you need to visit North Dakota in January. we are that tough.

  13. V.A. says:

Haha, yeah you need to be from a cold climate to get this one. Minnesota is a great start ^-^

  14. Genericguy13 says:

its ice storming outside my house right now i hate michigan

  15. Fenix says:

I’ve never been in a place that cold >.

  16. Koer says:

North Dakota in January? Bah, try Winnipeg in January!

  17. Mattz says:

It was warm in Canada this month. Well, Toronto, mostly. Not sure/don’t care about the other cities, though.

    Hmm…

He’s pretty tough to take the kind of cold…y’know, without his blood freezing 😛

  18. Arizona Man says:

How did i manage to undestand it while others didnt?

  19. Kardas says:

A bloodsicle! Favored treat of goth kids worldwide!

  20. ViSys says:

    Living in the caribbean…

  21. bAT L. says:

I’m not sure if everyone missed this, but for the people who don’t get it, the phrase “holding your breath” takes on a double meaning here.

It can’t be just me who got this. … Right?

  22. Chuck says:

Montreal in winter can get darn cold, especially in the suburbs, with wind… When you eyes start leaking and THEN freeze shut, it’s time to go in. It is a very sucky feeling

  23. dilverman says:

holds his breath. ha ha ha
where i live we have to fry our conversations to understant each other..!

  24. zantarath says:

Colorado this December, we broke three record lows.

  25. Wannabeelf says:

snotcicles are the worst. mucus shouldn’t crunch.

  26. Female Fox Furry says:

Took me 20 seconds to get that one… His breath looks pretty solid. ;o

  27. Ben says:

that was funny, but very cheesy.

  28. Arcane says:

I had to read the comments to get this one.

I just audibly groaned, slapped my forehead, and laughed for several minutes.

  29. Malachite Dragon says:

    The pun hurts, mommy! X_X
STill, I swear it’d get that cold here in TExas…I like the cold, but buttkick on a stick. X_X

  30. Oddly Frozen says:

i’ve never really lived in cold places, all of my chidhood was spent in california, then when i was 14 we moved to new york in the winter, we back in california in three weeks

  31. Oddly Frozen says:

    *we were

  32. Spoot Knight says:

It would be awesome if your own breath actually solidified like that.

  33. Stryc9 says:

Not really. I could see letting out a heavy sigh and it falling on your foot. Ouch!

  34. Darkpheonix XIII says:

    let’s see now.

Oxygen turn’s to a liquid at – onehundred forty something or other, so imagine how cold it must be to freeze your breath. Biff’s going to need some blankets soon.

  35. Mint Sharpie says:

But breathing out is mostly carbon dioxide, so he’s holding dry ice… OW!!! LET GO!!!!! That stuff burns….

    (lol @ Stryc9)

  36. DemonRex says:

Either that or he is holding the ice fromed when the moisture in his breath froze.

  37. Vincent says:

Its the moisture that freezes. Dont know what temperatures this would need though. Iv seen -60 C, and that mustve been warm comapred to this.

  38. Garrett says:

When I saw the comic, I was trying to figure out what he was holding. Then I read the caption. LOL!

  39. Garrett says:

“i’ve never really lived in cold places, all of my chidhood was spent in california…” sayeth Oddly Frozen?!?!?!?! Now I’m really curious as to why OF chose that name.

  40. TomCC says:

Got that as soon as i read the “hold his breath” part… Isn’t that funny when u get it right away (still pretty darn funny though). Now, when reading Stryc9’s comment, I laughed.
As for the discussion… the steam you exhale condenses into liquid so you can see it. But it has to touch some really cold ice to freeze instantly, and the ice must get enough cold from the air to not melt.

But actually, u just need -12 deg Celsius: thats the temperature Snow cannons they use to make ski tracks work best on. And they just spray water into the air.

  41. MetMan.EXE says:

I see you’re a fellow Winnipegger, too, Koer, or did you just visit?

  42. Johnmadden says:

What’s this “Winter” everyone’s referring to?

We only have Summer in Texas. 🙁

  43. Jenny says:

In nothern Sibiria they sometimes get frozen mist. Imagine walking through mist-covered streets and leaving tunnels as you go. . .

So, frozen condensed breath isn’t entirely unrealistic. 🙂

  44. Mort says:

    Brilliant!
You could have heard my brain for a minute if you where here… tic tic tic tic bing!

  45. Melindotty says:

OMG! I just got it. Awesome. Took me awhile…

  46. Darklight says:

On antarctica, at the Vostok Station, the lowest temperature measured is minus 89,2 degrees Celsius. That is so cold that if you throw a bucketfull og hot water up in the air, it freezes completely before it hits the ground!
So frozen breath shouldn’t be completely impossible :o)

  47. Capn Steve says:

    Impossible? No. Unpleasant? Very Yes!

  48. Chester says:

    … I cried when I finaly got this… 5 minutes later…

    well more like sobbed…

  49. Zac says:

his breath froze and he caught it

  50. Captain Saint Jesus says:

that snowman has a vestigial button out to his left
    why is that?

its like suits with the flaps that make you think you have a pocket for your cookies that you’re taking from dance but then you drop them because there is no pocket and you have a nice big icing stain on your thigh and people joke about it all night

    *grumble* homecoming…

  51. SevereFlame says:

You DO realize that if it was cold enough for carbon dioxide to freeze, it would be cold enough to freeze your lungs (or at least freeze the water inside your lungs, which would kill you)

  52. Quikngruvn says:

Another reason I’m glad I live in a place where it never gets below 15 degrees F.

  53. KatzeWerfer says:

i wonder if he also has a lung in there…

  54. MadMax says:

That took me a minute, my headphones then fell from my head on their own.

  55. CRVW1607 says:

I literally did not get this one at all (until I read someone’s explanation on here). Perhaps it’s because I’m from Georgia. ::shrug::

  56. steve-o says:

It would of been funnier if it was a biff snowman in the background

  57. phyzzydud says:

Totally didn’t get it until I read the explanations. Yay Alabama weather! December 3 early morning and it’s a balmy 34 degrees F.

  58. just_me says:

ugg…in NH we’re facing a whole week of the kind of weather that would cause your breath to freeze….plus a huge snow storm….*sigh*

  59. Glitch says:

I went out in the winter in a t-shirt once, it’s not that bad.

  60. Monty says:

    That’s clever as hell dude.

  61. Geek says:

I live in Alaska, and although I’ve never seen this with breath I’ve done it by spit.

In February, you can just spit, and it freezes and makes crackly noises. So cool!

  62. Note toSelf says:

This is definitely one of my favorites

  63. Kazaaar says:

When I lived in Washington state, I could walk into -20F weather in shorts and a tee shirt and still end up sweating. Cold doesn’t bother me. Moisture and wind chill do.

  64. chrisleech says:

@kazaaar I feel your pain I have the same problem
