#895 – Edible

Fresh home-made cookies are the best. I still have fond memories of cookies at my friend’s house. Every once in a while I would go over there and seeming walk in to the middle of a chocolate chip cookie factory. Every flat surface in the kitchen and dining room would be covered in cooling racks filled with cookies. No cookie can ever match that first one you get to eat when it has just barely crossed the threshold from molten lava to warm yummy goodness.

Also, the Xmas cards are here and I shipped out the first batch of orders today!

I especially love my mum’s chocolate chunk cookies – you can’t call them chocolate chip, because the chocolate pieces are massive. If you get them at just the right second, the chocolate is all goey and delicious. Plus the house smells nice when the baking is happening.
They need to make a ‘baking cookies’-scented air freshner. I would buy one.

If Xerox copiers could do this, they’d be so rich it’d be sinful.

I want a chocomint cookie or a strawberry chunk macadamia nut whitechoco cookie. Lordy but that last one is a cavity inducer but ooooooooh so GOOD!

Mom’s Homemade Toll House cookies, with and without nuts, The first three batches were just enough to fill up the family (there was a lot of us), then the rest were safe long enough to cool and pack up as gifts and as the family stash. An entire day start to finish. Man I Miss those, the store bought cookie doughs don’t even compare.

I always had to make my own cookies. Generally I make the best in the family, but lately I’ve been making less and less. I imagine I will have to step up for Christmas time.

I can not cook. I have about a 60% success rate with macaroni and cheese. But dagnabbit, I can bake cookies from scratch. BWA HA HA.

  12. Libramen says:

Yes yes, I enjoy cooked cookies, but the dough is so awesome! <.<
Why it it that food like cookie and beef are so much more delicious raw than cooked?

  13. baughbe says:

Hey Chris, why not include a batch of cookies for people who order 2 or more items?

  14. sco3tt says:

Even when they’re still at 350 degrees I can’t not eat one right out of the oven. Sure, it’s an expensive cookie if you figure in all the co-pays and re-constructive surgeries, but you can bet as soon as I stop screaming and the morphine drip is removed I’m right back in the kitchen, watching the timer!

My wife made cookies last night. Reason #32 of 471 why I love her.

hmm.that reminds me.i need to do some baking myself.we have relatives visiting for thanksgiving this year.
i hope that ink is the kind for edible cake images…

  19. Ziriath says:

At first I thought you bake cookies in a very high temperature, until I realised I got mistaked Fahrenheit with Celsius.

  20. santy says:

hmm, edible printer paper exists, and food colorant can reach the density of ink, so i don’t see why this is not possible.

There really is nothing like warm homemade cookies. My father and I used to bake cookies on weekends that needed brightening up.
