Chapter: Comics
The coolest bird experience I had was on a hike in New Mexico. There were a bunch of birds that figured out that if they followed hikers around long enough they would stop to take a break and eat some food. They would hang out in branches nearby and instantly swoop down to pick up crumbs the instant they touched the ground. I have a picture of one of them standing on my head from when I put some food on top of my hat.

I started reading Biff about a week ago and I finally caught up to the current comic. I just wanted to give my praise and thanks to the humor that Biff has been able to bring to my mornings every day for the past week. Long live Biff!
That reminds me of the seagulls at my old middle school. They would do the exact same thing.
God, I hate seagulls so much.
Biff would have spent a lot of time in the perching bird house if the eggs hatched!
Hello.
Biff’s eyebrows seem more unruly than ever today.
In other news, I believe we deserve to see this bird-on-head-eating-food photo.
Regards,
James
I agree with jahg. Let us see the bird-on-head.
Yeah, I wanna see that picture too.
@Shorty: Seagulls. Yes indeed. We’re loaded with pictures of seagulls swarming around us (in the air and on the ground) while we sit on the beach.
@Zeliek – Awesome 🙂
Bird on head! bird on head!
My latest encounter with birds involved pigeons. We’ve been dealing with pigeons for quite some time. All they’ve been doing is pooping everywhere and bullying the songbirds that usually come to our house.
The coolest bird expience I had wasn’t really mine. It was on a vacation in Cape May, and we were on the beach. My mom got us a huge bucket of cheese fries, and it only took twenty seconds for the seagulls to come. She told us not to give away our food or else they’ll never leave, but we did anyways. When she finally got us to stop, we had thirty birds milling around and making noise. One of them saw a stick hanging out of my dad’s mouth, assumed it to be a fry, and grabbed it right out of his mouth before flying off. The stick was actually a cigarette. We always say that bird has cancer now.
My coolest bird experience is with hummingbirds. I have a ton of pictures and some videos taken from about three feet from the feeder on my back porch. Hummingbirds rock.
hummingbirds on youtube, under sco3tt1 if you wanna see them, btw
I agree with the others. This picture must be seen.
And for whatever reason, in your little comment box when you said you’d deface pictures with Biff’s eyebrows…. I was really, really amused. Couldn’t tell you why though. Wish I was close enough to go to that Con to get a picture defaced =D
This is definitely one of the better webcomics I’ve seen. I discovered it early today and managed to read through all 834 comics so far, it took several hours but I was laughing my ass off most of that time. I kept saying “Oh I’ll just read once more then finish the rest later”, but I just couldn’t stop. Please write several hundred more by tomorrow morning so I can do it all over again when I get up, thank you.
@sco3tt: concurring on the coolness of hummingbirds, lived in a cabin covered in wisteria & had 100’s in CA, here in MO not so many but still amazing when you see them…Biff must be in a time warp sitting still so long or very quickly productive birds!
Oh awesome, you’re doing the ‘brows idea! 😀
Birds= awesome
Bird crap on vehicles=not awesome.
@Dan – Thanks for reading! It’s becoming more and more of a feat to read them all in one sitting as time goes by.
First time poster, here, and I managed to get through all of these comic in the past 4 days, so I’m not up to the standard of Dan. ^^’
Truly brilliant webcomic, Chris.
@Trauts – Don’t feel bad, I can barely get through one a day myself!
I once got suspended because I ran around my school’s park and fed the seagulls everyone’s left over pizza crusts after our school’s pizza day. The reason they gave me was because it encouraged the birds to eat the kindergarten kid’s food. I was in grade 6 or 7 and not very impressed with the reason to say the least but I think it’s a good story now.
I’ve got a bird experience that isn’t really mine as well, although it was my dad’s and I was there at the time. Anyway, we were at the beach (I forget why) and we were eating our sandwiches, when this seagull swoops down and nicks my dad’s sandwich FROM OUT OF HIS HAND!
I had a few crazy experiences with giant ravens when I lived in Yellowknife.
I remember that it was difficult to cross the Mcdonald’s parking lot without them fluffing up and hissing at you.
