that misssing part was always a problem
and to think i just thought they put in a handful of parts in the box you screw with you

  2. LordRetard says:

I thought it was spare parts, ‘case you lost some of the smaller ones. That always happened to me. It was never the right parts… *sniff*

  3. kangaroosexy says:

    it never is

  4. Pickleduck McWeaselpants says:

It always happens like that, doesn’t it? Gah. Good job.

  5. Yuccadude says:

Kinda happened to my brother. He was riding his bike and the front wheel came off(it was one of those unscrewable types where you could just use your hand and not a wrench to unscrew it) and he planted his chin in the road in front of our house.

  6. Chris says:

I jammed my front tire into a pothole once, dumping me over the handle bars. 🙁

  7. XRS says:

    Ah, the missing/loose bolt.

Go-Karts have never been the same since.

  8. Genericguy13 says:

one time my handlebars came off…the tree won that fight

  9. Kai says:

Well, If you want a horror story involving bikes….

I was in this bike wreck once. My cousin stopped in a sandbed (Directly in front of me) and we were going about 50 miles an hour. Down a steep hill. I was flung 20 foot over and away from him. My bike was destroyed. My private areas were… well, yeah. Sixteen stiches, and a horse needle. PAIN. … I’ve never been on a bike since…

    Poor Biff.

  10. Fenix says:

There are things that shouldn’t be sold in pieces… I’m not so sure if I would ride a bike I just armed…

  11. Vex says:

Ah the missing bolt, I Once had one of those gas powered go-kart/dune buggys. Imagine my suprise one day as I see my rear tires pass me.

Oh and to Kai, TURN IN THE AIR! QUICKLY! Like a freakin’ Cat man.

  12. Chuck says:

    That one was amazing!

  13. Loser says:

    ……..
    ……..
Chuck Norris knows what that bolt was for.
I’m sorry I just couldn’t resist! I blame the person here named Chuck.

  14. Malachite Dragon says:

I’ve been laughing so hard at what Vex said. XD

  15. Minastir says:

Now he knows for what that bolt was.
    Fixed. 😉

  16. zantarath says:

I crashed into a chain link fence after going down from the top of a hill, very steep hill.

  17. Wannabeelf says:

i feel your pain, Kai. i too have been tarrified of bikes since an accident in my childhood. mine wasn’t as bad as yours though. but i did have an experience much closer to yours with roller skates. my mom wouldn’t take me to the hospital without my dad because she was afraid the doctor would think sexual assult. she was right.

  18. The Hebrew Hammer says:

Oh man. I was hanging onto a rope on the back of my moms car and riding my roller blades and my mom thought it would be wise to go about 40 mph. Needless to say pain followed. I fell on my knees(Sorta…I still have no idea how my knees did NOT get ripped to shreds. Woot wal-mart pants), spun around, slid for 10 feet, rolled backwards(Much loss of back skin) landed in the same knelt position and slid for another ten feet. Then there was the time I rode a baby doll stroller down a hill….

I wouldn’t ride NEAR a bike you’d armed. too much chance of the rocket launcher imploding.

Man, one time I was ridin’ my bike down the hill to my house at like 45-50 miles an hour– This was the summer I moved, so the street I was going down was a LOT steeper than I was used to, but I loved the speed so I didn’t care. Anyway, so I’m ridin’ down this hill, and I take a sharp turn to go up my driveway– Maybe a little too sharp. At the bottom of my driveway the back tire slips on this mass of loose rocks I didn’t notice, the bike goes on its side, slips out from under me… I’m goin’ so fast by this point that once that bike slips away from me I’m goin’ uphill (my driveway) for three metres, legs apart and on my tailend.

Ever go 50mph uphill on your butt in khakis?

    The material freakin’ DISINTEGRATES.

… Gotta admit though, it was pretty epic. Couldn’t walk for a good day and a half, but it was epic.

  21. Demonprophet says:

Wow. So many horror stories about bike riding. It’s a blessing and a shame that I never learned to ride a bike. But then again, I never learned to swim, and I’ve never seen the original Star Wars movies. I’m missing a lot of pieces of my childhood.

  22. Darkpheonix XIII says:

    That you are.

One time, when i was on my first bike, i was at the top of a gentle hill in our back yard. My dad turned to talk to my mom, and in the process, let go of the bike. I started rolling down the hill, and then into the corn field, where i promptly fell over. No injuries, sorry, but i do apparantly have a good sense of balance to ride a bike for the first time about fifty feet before falling.

Another time, i was riding my bike around my g-parents’ drive way, turned sharply, fell over, ended up skinning my arm from wrist to elbow, and also my knee. I told my sister to get my mom because my arm might be broken (about a four foot fall, onto my arm, why not?). she laughed. A few weeks ago, she fell 2 feet while playing badmitten and got a hairline fracture. I laughed. It’s only the third time she’s had a broken arm.

  23. Mint Sharpie says:

Bloody hilarious, this one! I LITERALLY rolled on the floor laughing.

  24. DemonRex says:

I’m sensing a lack of common sense here.

  25. Vincent says:

I once lost the front tire of my bike. Same as yucadudes brother actualy. Except it involved a tree instead of the driveway.

I also took a sharp turn beneath a steep hill. On a gravel road. I DID land on all fours… well, sorta, my arms didnt like the impact and let me keep going so I landed on my shoulder… I still have scrape scars on one shoulder and both knees.

  26. Radical Edward says:

I remember riding a big trike (The kind old people use.). It was fun until I wrapped my yellow trike around a lightpost…

  27. Kanki-chan says:

What do you get when a kid crashes her bike into the local skateboarder?

Answer: two concussions and a fear of raptors! (That was the last thing I remember that was on the kid’s skateboard -_-;). Still, I kinda need a bike for college, so now I have to try and get over that particualr fear >

  28. Melindotty says:

I got a new bike for my 10th birthday, and prompty went out for a ride with my family. Apparently, when they package bikes, they grease the metal part just inside the wheels so they won’t rust.

That is also where the brakes press to stop said bike.

Needless to say, there was a horrible crash, in which I just barely was able to weave between two trees, probably saving myself from a mangling head wound before flipping over the handles bars, and I didn’t go back on a bike until I was 15.

  29. Murky says:

yeeeaaah… I literally fell on my face off a bike. I took a turn too sharp for my woefully n00bish bike skillz, and… yeah, me and the bike crashed. I cried/limped my way back home (it was like 50 meters away luckily), the moment my dad saw me, he was like AAAUUUGH. I didn’t get the deal. Then I looked in the mirror… my whole face was covered in blood 😀 I actually had only two little wounds near my mouth and nose, but MAN did they bleed.

Also, one time I rode into a fir tree on a sleigh. The lower branches I had raced through fell clear off and I had a bigass bright red… STRIPE all across my face for weeks. It left no scar though!

  30. Kor says:

Dumped a tricycle into a cactus garden at 3. What a first memory!

  31. Terrorbob says:

Had my first physics lesson at age 7ish, dealing with inertia…riding bike home, turned into driveway but failed to turn sharply, bike ran into wall, stopped….I did not, encountering crossbar that runs from seat to handlebars/front wheel…between legs…no cup

  32. Shiyiya says:

    @Darkpheonix XIII
I know someone who fell off a couch about a foot and a half off the ground and broke her arm.

I haven’t ridden a bike since I was seven years old. My bike would act like it was on concrete, then like it was on bumpy bumpy bumpy, then it would throw me off, with and without training wheels. I finally got sick of it and haven’t tried to ride a bike since.

  33. Moriarty Matherson says:

Stacked the bike down the Lookout Hill, slid down the grass and gravel and over the edge. 20+ meter fall to the water.

    Hurt like a bitch.
    Mental scarring.

  34. steve-o says:

Oh man… Once I rode my bike down the biggest hill in the neighborhood. I’d done before plenty of times and each time I was succesful. I started to get reckless and rode down as fast as I could. I turned too sharply (the hill had a curve) and my bike slid sideways up the edge of the road (our roads are tilted up at 45 degree angles at the edges) my bike and I went flying. My bike took out a mailbox and I landed in his driveway, started rolling, and smashed my back into a tree. I was going faster than you think I was.

  35. Deteramot says:

If I rode my bike down the biggest hill around here, I’d be going way too fast for my lack of skill. I’d break my face. Again.

  36. Bjoob says:

There’s this large bump on one of the paths behind my school, it’s a large mound about 4 feet high, well, anyway, it makes a great jump, so my freind took of off it and his bike fliped over, nearly landing on him. The fron wheel was bent in half more than 90 degrees. Another time, there was a log across the path, and when i was riding up to take the jump, it jammed in my front spokes, throwing me right into the mound. Yet somehow we both still love biking.

  37. kebertxela says:

my brother somehow convinced me to ride his rickety old motorcycle. that ended (and started) with me doing a wheely and riding straight into the back of a car. been scared of any thing with less than four wheels ever since

  38. IsitIrony? says:

This is great, and I’m not sure if anyone else sees the same ads as me but mine are for a Bicycle Show!…FORESHADOWING

  39. EchoLoco says:

I got into a bad crash with a car once when on a bike.

The sad thing is, the car wasn’t moving, and I was on level ground.

  40. Raven Gold says:

I am now reliving the post-traumatic stress of the time my behind had no skin…

  41. Kaz says:

I broke my wrist thanks to a bike, going down an incline, two sharp turns in the sidewalk… And my need to protect my taco’s.

  42. gsa says:

hehe i once had a slow motion wreck into a tree. hehe
