#660 – Carp

You have a warm can of soda that you want to drink. You look in the freezer but there is no ice. So you place the can of soda into the freezer to chill it up. At this point you really should set an alarm of some type. When you open the freezer the next day to get some frozen banana waffles you will need to chisel through the exploded layer of soda to get at them.

How long has he been part of that club?

  2. MadDavid says:

Actually, some fish can survive being frozen solid and then thawed

  3. Trevor says:

    Club week?
Probably not but I’d like to see that.
    Fish week? Ice week?

  4. speearr says:

    Cryogenics week.

  5. LazerWulf says:

I’d rather drink my sodas warm than wait for them to get cold in the freezer.

  6. Chris says:

    @LazerWulf – That’s because you are smart!

  7. Kbman says:

You know, if you open the soda before you put it in, it chills off faster, and it probably won’t explode later.

  8. SEA says:

Ah yes, the drink freezing problem >_>

At least with the water frozen, the water won’t leak out of the box. XD

  9. Chris says:

@Kbman isn’t it likely to go flat at which point you could just get some ice water and add corn syrup for the same effect.

  10. Chuck says:

That has never happened to me. I check on my chilling drinks very often, which means they always chill slower, but never freeze over.

A goldfish and water in a cardboard box?

  12. stonehydra says:

is that invisible tape on that box or am i not seeing things. what how do you tell if your out of invisible tape or if you have anuff for one more box?

  13. MaskedMan says:

Been there, done that – And even if you get to the soda before is explodes, but after it starts freezing, you’ll find that all the carbonation is gone. Better to put it in the reefer, and wait a bit longer for your cold sada. At least then, you’ll actually get to drink it, instead of scraping it out of the ice box.

What kind of boxes do they have in BiffWorld, that they’re waterproof? And what kind of excellent postal service do they have, that the box arrived intact?

  14. BillDeuxX2 says:

Nice, Ive had that happen b4, and when I was about 12, had to clean out the freezer. Ugh

It’s the worst when the soda that you’re having to chisel through is Jones Soda Holiday flavor: Brussel Sprouts. Then your college mini-fridge/freezer would be better served as a physics project testing gravity than as a place for cooling drinks, as everything left smells rancid.

I want a goldfish in an ice cube.

  16. Kit-Kun says:

I never liked hot soda. I like it cold, but I hate the ice, so I’d wait for it to cool in the frigde.

It was about a year ago, at school, lunchtime. I had realised that in addition to being hungry, I was thirsty. Quickly, I tore across the cafetorium to find the salvation that was a can of coca cola zero, a fresh new addition to the vending mackines. I deposited my dollar, heard the wonderful thunk of the coke hitting the ground, and reached in to retrieve it.

It was at that moment I learned that coke zero has a lower freezing point then coke. The bottle had expanded in the machine.

The office wouldn’t even refund me my dollar. booooo.

Lol, the same thing happened to me ^_^
Here’s what you do, put a can of soda in a large ziploc bag, leave it in the freezer overnight, get it in the morning, dump it out and you got a coke/pepsi/dr. pepper/whatever slushie! Yummy!

  19. Zaffa says:

Either Club Week or Frozen Week.

  20. Jeff says:

When I was a lot younger, I did the same thing. Later that day, my mom started yelling at me for something I did. I don’t even remember what it was but she happened to be standing near the freezer. As soon as she had finished yelling at me, there was an awkward silence for a few seconds, then the soda I left in the freezer exploded and freaked both of us out. I laugh to myself when I think about it.

  21. Reg says:

The fish probably wouldn’t have lived long under Biff’s care anyway…

  22. Trevor says:

@Random person:You have to put it in a bag? I have frozen sodas (which I call frost pops) nearly every day and I can just put the drink in a cup and let it freeze.

  23. wisp says:

if you MUST put a soda in the freezer do NOT under ANY circumstances put it in the door of said freezer…. it has a tendency to blow the door open smashing you square in the nose >_<

  24. Radical Edward says:

Poor fish…Then again, this is Biff we’re talking about.

BIFF: Goldfish of the month club? How can I lose?
