Chapter: Comics
Today is my dear friend Ali’s birthday and today’s comic is my gift to her. She is one of Biff’s earliest fans. Since we went to art school together she is one of only a few people that received a complete set of the original Biff mini-comics I made back then. Wish Ali a happy birthday and then go to her website to see her amazing and inspirational paintings (and you may even get a little extra enjoyment out of today’s comic.)

i hypnotiesed myself once, screamed every time i went to the toilet.
That website is pretty neat! Happy birthday Ali!
The comic is a good reference: I didn’t really understand it until I went to the site, though.
Happy birthday Ali from a random stranger =p
No, hypnotism on oneself is not good. >=(
How’s he gonna get himself out of that? Happy birthday to your friend! 🙂
Merry Birth-mas ali!
Your friend’s art is pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing it.
YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG!
(Oh god I couldn’t resist)
Looks like Biff is being attacked by two Coral Snake hand puppets.
oh hai!
it’s my birthday today too! 😀
What fun it is to share a birthday. Happy Birthday Ali!
Oh no, biff watch out!! I bet he’s gonna try and escape by having both his arms kill eachother or something
For some reason this comic terrifies me
Happy birthday Ali!
Heheheheee… I like this one 😀
@Cris,
Coral snakes are red yellow and black.
Just thought I might point that out. 😛
I couldn’t help but be reminded of Penny Arcade by this comic.
Biff, WHERE ARE YOUR PANTS. I AM ASKING YOU A SERIOUS QUESTION ABOUT THE LOCATION AND CURRENT STATUS OF YOUR PANTS.
A tribute to a woman of magical… ? (loss for a word)
It looks like a fine birthday gift to me.
@ Kaikuro: Maybe they cross-bred with peppermint snakes.
@Kaikuro,
Now, can you tell the difference between a Coral Snake and a Milk Snake?
Coral Snakes have the pattern Red, Yellow, Black, Yellow, Red.
While Milk snakes have the pattern Red, Black, Yellow, Black, Red.
Oh, and milk snakes are harmless.
@ Andore Mordre
red next to black: a friend of jack
red next to yellow: killed the poor fellow
Does hypnotism wear off or will Biff still be a ‘graceful melody’ next week?
Dear Chris,
Thank you for reminding me of a time and a place and a girl who one day, inspired by words carved in stone on the side of the Auditorium Building, added her own to a well scribbled-up fire exit door.
Like your variation on a theme, her list ended with a word that topped them all: “Lincoln, Shakespeare, Mozart… LIFE!”
And thank you for hosting my message in a bottle.
I think Jim Croce will be my soundtrack for today.
@Andre
I knew someone would say that XD
milk snakes= cute
happy birthday, Ali.
@Kaikuro and Hogan:
Heh, I work at a pet store, and we sell the occasional milk snake, so we have to explain that to almost everyone who looks into that corner of the snake room. (Rhyme included) Not only are they harmless, but they’re friendly, too! 😀
Kaikuro: “milk snakes= cute”
Peaceful, enlightened, genetically-enhanced baby cobras = even cuter
I’m surprised he didn’t have them on his eyebrows
Im surprised hes not getting strangled by them yet. 😀
… wut?
happy belated, Ali ^-^
Holy crud, Cavanaugh is my last name! :O
I just want to say I have enjoed the magician week.
I found out about The Book of Biff a few weeks ago, and I’ve been making my way through the comic. I follow the link in the blurb under this comic and I’m greeted by http://www.alicavanaugh.com/?p=1878 …
I’m actually reading a book about how to hypnotize yourself. o.o It doesn’t work very well for me, though. Right now I’m trying to ask questions to my sub-conscious and have it answer by moving my fingers, but since my nerves got damaged when I was a child my fingers sometimes twitches by themselves. At first I will believe that’s an answer, then I remember that the finger will rise to a pointing position and not just twitch around. And my sub-conscious doesn’t like to answer my questions. Ever.
