Chapter: Comics
I suppose one advantage of an ebook reader is that it’s easier to operate one handed. I’ve had paperback books flip out of my hand when I tried to hold it open with one hand for too long. My hand cramps up and the book flops closed. It’s funny how I’ll think I found my place and be halfway through a chapter before realizing I already read it.

When a paperback book flips out from my hands, it’s usually because I’m about to fall asleep and can’t hold on to it properly. That’s life when you only read books right before falling asleep… The worst thing is when I’ve just started reading a new paperback book, because it’s most difficult for me to keep the book open properly when I’m still at the first 10% or so of the pages.
Um… given the nature of the blurb below the comic, shouldn’t they be MORE traumatic before eBooks? Or LESS traumatic AFTER eBooks? Otherwise it makes no sense to me. o.o
The ebook is heftier than a piece of paper and would cause significantly more damage given the cutting power to weight ratio. While a lonely little piece of paper causes a small cut, a larger ebook reader would cause an arm-severing slice.
What I hate most about paperbacks is how good they look brand new.
That perfectly flat and shiny spine you have? Yeah, that shiz is not staying that way no matter how gently you hold the book or how oddly you bend the pages…
It’s like my paperbacks get old and wrinkly as soon as I read them…
And finally caught up!
What about the poor readers of stone tablets back in ancient times?
