I feel really dumb when I burn myself on food. I could have predicted this outcome! I was the one that used a machine to inject the food with heat! Now everything will taste like pain for days!

I can only remember having burnt myself on some hot chocolate. I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, and it hurt really bad the day after it happened. It was painful, but I think I felt numb on the inside of my mouth at the same time too! It was a quite weird feeling…
I beat you all in stupid. I once melted a bunch of sugar in a teaspoon, over a candle (I was really bored)
Then someone distracted me and I absentmindedly licked the molten sugar. Literally burned the surface off the end of my tongue, and had this massive dead flesh area in the top of my mouth just behind my teeth.

He ate it before it was cool.
In food’s defense, we ARE trying to eat it. I know that I certainly try to light all of my natural predators on fire whenever given the opportunity.

I knew a guy who liked to add Cajun seasoning to his pizza sauce. I tried it once. It’s the *only* time that I didn’t finish a slice of pizza.

I use the rule:
General rule of thumb,
if it burns the fingers, it burns the tongue.
It almost rhymes, and it reminds me when something is too hot BEFORE I make it so I cannot taste anything for 3 days.
Doesn’t work for coffee in insulated cups though.
