This would also rekindle the trend of backwards jacket. It was always awkward having to walk up to a stranger at the bus stop and ask them to zip you up.
Today’s Maximumble is the last of its kind.

Backscratches are one of the most important services I provide my wife. If her elbows reversed, I wonder if she’d put up with me at all… 😉
Yes, Biff is a superior being.
I find this strange. I too scratch my wifes back but I can scratch my own. I can reach all spots on my back and I’m not double jointed or such I just have the flexibility to do so. Only in my arms though I can’t even touch my toes without the bend but my wife can yet she can’t scratch her own back. I have also never met a person that can do it and have been called weird for being able to myself.
Am I related to Biff in some forgotten family tree?
Nah, you’re not alone out there. People like us are just the next step in human evolution. :p
*scratches back* I’m sure a less flexible person would find this more convenient
When I first saw today’s “strip” on the home page, the whole image wouldn’t load, so I could only read something like:
It’s hard to remember how itchy life was before
” ‘ ”
…Or something. For some reason I guessed that it would read “Biff got his lower arm bones removed” on the second row. But it would be really awesome to be able to scratch one own’s back like that, so that the unreachable area won’t be unreachable anymore! 🙂
Oh, and I almost forgot:
I think it’s kinda weird that even though Biff finally managed to scratch his own back, he still has that “Why?!” facial expression…
Reversible elbows would be useful, especially if you also had eyes in the back of your head. I’m still flexible enough, though, that I can scratch my back without them.
I can do that anyways. I don’t need reversible elbows.
DOUBLE-JOINTEDNESS
I can reach every square inch of my back!
Nothin’ like the ol’ Easy-Flo ™ Elbows to make life more comfy.
I can link my hands behind my back then bring them around to the front.
Not quite *that* flexible, but I can shame my own hands behind my back over either shoulder. Causes my wife to shudder when she sees me do that.
I can clasp my hands behind my back, touch the elbows together, and lift my arms almost level with my head. Nyahh.
I was thinking more that you could finally get sunscreen in the right place.

Ha, I can reach anywhere I want. Yoga!
