#1219 – Clatter

My older brother had a habit of hiding his money in his sock for fear of being mugged some night while leaving a bar. Then one night while leaving a bar he was mugged. He gave the man his empty wallet. Annoyed that he didn’t get any money he asked for my brother’s shoes and then ordered him to walk down to end of the alley. Fortunately the mugger immediately ran off before noticing the *ching* *ching* sound of the coins bouncing around in my brother’s sock.

Today’s Maximumble is ready for breakfast.

This actually happened to me once. It was the end of my busking days.

    Been mugged.. been mugged…..
Hm. Well, someone hit me in the head with a mug once? Nah, I’ve never been mugged, so I can’t really tell you an (un)funny story (of course you care).

Never been mugged, but the people at the cafeteria in junior high hated when I put money in my socks.

I usually come ready to kill people who attempt to mug me. Not sure if thats legal, but I do like to be alive rather more than following rules. 😛

      Same.
“Sorry, Mr. Mugger. I don’t have any money.
I spent it all on… THIS GUN!

        I’d be more like:
“Sorry, Mr. Mugger I don’t have any money I spent it all on ….. This Arsenal Of Ninja Weapons!”

Heh! Used to keep a “decoy wallet” with some pointless business cards and a very small amout of cash in it, for just this reason. The real wallet was kept elsewhere – Where a mugger is unlikely to go looking.

Came in handy when I got pick-pocketted – the thief got 8 dollars and some scrap paper, along with a ratty old leather wallet. I got a giggle at her expense (yeah, I figured out who did it).

  7. i put all my money on a paypal account so if they mugg me for money it’s useless plus i have two copy’s of the card so if they steal one they do not know my pin and i can use the other card like nothing happened

i was almost mugged once. i was at the bowling alley to get some practice in, and some guy tells me “I know you have $5 for me.” nothing came of it, but i did have a trusty 15 lb. bowling ball for if i needed to give the guy a good smack.
