#1160 – Hang

I managed to grow up not really knowing what a staple gun was. Then I went to art school and had to construct and stretch my own canvases. I was suddenly overwhelmed with advice on quality and pricing and staple gauge recommendations. I haven’t painted on canvas in many many years but I still have that staple gun. I wonder if I will ever use it again.

Chris, this had me laughing aloud. For a full 10 minutes. With no breaks. I believe I passed out from a lack of air momentarily.

I never used a staple gun, but I always knew what one was. I just didn’t like them because of a haunting episode of the Simpsons that gave me nightmares for some reason.

    That looks like fun!

    Why is he doing….. that.

    Oh its Biff, nevermind.

I also was going to ask why he feels sleeping like that is an advantage, ‘cuz if he’s doing it to avoid bugs he’s made a big mistake.

And to avoid bears, it needs to be a bit higher. This might keep him safe from chipmunks. Chipmunks, those evil scheming conniving chipmunks….

Last time I used a staple gun was to finish the basement at the cottage (yes a cottage with a basement), putting moisture barrier plastic stuff on the walls we were adding.

Good idea! Keeps you off the cold, hard ground.

Also puts new meaning to the phrase, “Tree Hugger”
    Perhaps more like “Tree Spooning”

As far as I remember the only use I did for staple guns was staple gun wars with my brother. Oh youth! How much irresponsable and dangerous fun!!

  9. MaskedMan says:

That puts Biff at exactly the right height to be a meat-pinata for bears…

Oooooo! I love staple guns! I have three … an old hand-operated one, an electric (which also shoots itty-bitty nails) and a compressed air-powered one (which shoots some pretty good-sized staples, along with slightly larger brad-type nails.

Oh what a geek I am.

I do agree that Biff might have shoulda gone higher off the ground. Then again, he’s closer to the campfire this way.

New ways to use that old stuff week?

    @Baughbe: Chipmunks. Hee-hee-hee-hee… chipmunks.
