#348 – Package

About a year and a half ago I ordered a bunch of stuff over the internet. A day or two later my wife and I came down with the flu. We spent most of our time sleeping or poking around on the net. One day I realized it had been a week since I ordered my stuff. I sent an annoyed email to the company and the responded right away. “We show that your order was delivered 3 days ago.” Oh crap. I go downstairs and open the front door and there’s the box. That’s when we realized that we were so sick that we hadn’t opened the front door, let alone left the house in days.

I really like those cracks in the front step; it’s the little touches that makes art worth appreciating.

  2. Chuck says:

My drawing tablet was delivered to the wrong address.

  3. LazerWulf says:

You’d think the eyebrows sticking out of the box would be a giveaway…

  4. Bunnyman says:

I’ve had packages stolen, delivered to the wrong address, not delivered at all, or purchased but not registered in the company’s records as being ordered. I have bad luck with online purchases…

Also, that’s given me a great idea for something to use on Halloween… I’ll scare the crap out of the neighborhood kids if it kills me!

  5. Kree says:

It looks like Biff is using Solid Snake’s box maneuver πŸ˜›

  6. Bob says:

Haha, guess thats one way of finding out. but as far as packages go, um, I had Nintendo send me a rumble pack to canada once because I put the batteries in backwards, and im cursed for living in ontario, CA isnt CANADA! thought the large USA would have been a giveaway. but by the time i had discovered that the batteries were in backwards, my grams had just goten off the phone, and i accidently ended up with 1 too many rumble packs.4-5 years ago

  7. SEA says:

Heh, this is hilarious…what does biff get in his package anyway?
I have until now, never ordered any from the internet…too bad eh =p

  8. sakanagai says:

Is it just me or does boxed-Biff look kind of like a cockroach?

  9. Micah says:

I ordered a package from Amazon and about two weeks passed from the date they promised it by, so I called them and told them about it. Well, they sent my order back out to me with no charge and it arrived two or three days later. I was a good ways through one of the books I ordered when my neighbor brought by the package unopened saying that it was delivered to them a long time ago since I wasn’t home.

Really, guys, two weeks? My neighbors suck. I ended up sending the unopened one back to Amazon.

    snake has gone biff

  11. Goggledegook says:

I actually had to wrestle with a guy who was trying to steal a package from my doorstep. I live in Philadelphia in front of a bus stop, so there’s always strangers hanging out in front of my house. The guy tried to pass the box off as his until I pointed out my own name.
It’s a really good thing I got it back; the package was a set of new checks from my bank.

  12. Gobbledegook says:

Oh good lord… I just realized I’ve been misspelling my own name for a few days. Darn you, autocomplete!

  13. Hanii Puppy says:

Micah: that’s alot more honest of you than alot of people i know, some of the ppl i know would just keep it and mybe try to re-sell it

  14. Hanii Puppy says:

didn’t let me finish again T_T

Micah: that’s alot more honest of you than alot of people i know, some of the ppl i know would just keep it and mybe try to re-sell it >.>;; lowsy neds and chavs lol

I have a wee shop near me called Tam’s Army Store that sells army stuff like camouflage clothes, etc. Anyways, i keep getting their mail =p

  15. NDDR says:

i once tried to send a friend in spain some stuff for his birthday, paid extra for insurance.

stupid british post stole it and wouldnt pay the insurance saying i hadnt posted anything.

  16. AwesomeAud says:

Did he use his eyebrows to tape the package shut? πŸ™‚

  17. kenshin620 says:

I wonder if someone will actully keep biff once they take the box…

  18. trueblaze says:

Ever since my room mate discovered amazon dot com we’ve been getting deliveries just about every day. It’s not that he’s ordering all that much, the problem is one or two things will come from one place, one or two will come from some where else, and so on and so forth. Last week he ordered six manga and they were delivered in four seperate packages.

  19. It'sa The Cheat says:

Step ONE: Cut a hole in the box!
Step TWO: Put yo Biff in that box!
Step THREE: Get her to open the box!
And that’s just how you do it, it’s a Biff in a box!

  20. Kanki-chan says:

I’ve been ok with online ordering, but my boyfriend had a worse time trying to get a cosplay outfit from China to here. It came almost a month after the con he was going to wear it to. Dunno what came of the money he had to pay, but now he’s got an extra for the next con.

  21. Seraphine says:

And if Biff doesn’t capture the culprit,
I hope he addressed the package
    for some beautiful tropical island.

  22. Aaditya says:

I ordered my first cell phone in the mail before I went off to college. The cell phones came on the day of delivery and FedEx confirmed this, but the phones were nowhere to be found. After looking around I found out that the phones had been sent to house 2210 instead of my house 2201.

On another note, today’s comic reminds me of Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid.

  23. Lucretiel says:

    hehehehehe…. that’s awsome

  24. Chuck says:

Aaditya, that’s what happened with my package. The delivery guy in his rush to deliver all the packages had a moment of dyslexia.

  25. Scipo says:

Oh my god, this comic is so much awesome. The laws of physics have been completely thrown out the window in this one. How, by any stretch of the imagination, does he fit into that box? You just don’t know.

  26. KayRis says:

Noooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just finished reading all of Biff!! Now I’ll have to wait until the next day to get my comic!! Great comic by the way, Chris. I love how Biff has character without ever speaking. I’m definitely adding Biff to my daily comic intake.

  27. Chris says:

    Thanks KayRis πŸ™‚

  28. Bullet Fiend says:

    I lIkE tHiS oNe…

  29. Radical Edward says:

I’ll be damned to a eternity of ignorance if I can’t find out WHO’S BEEN MOVING MY CHEESE?

Seriously, identity theft and mail fraud are just the worst things I can think of when it comes to packages.

  30. It'sa The Cheat says:

Scipo, he clearly cut a perfectly biff-sized hole into the cement, crawled in, and put a box over his head.

  31. Ela says:

    Oh wow, hahahhaha.

  32. Liz-face says:

if I could, and people were stealing packages from me, I would do that. I totally would.

  33. Micah says:

Hanii Puppy: Actually, I wanted to make sure Amazon would trust me in the future with this sort of mishap. Like say this would go on my record and next time they’ll know I’m not trying to get free stuff. (I mean, they didn’t the first time, but it’s still nice to make a good reputation.) Then again, there’s a good chance they just ignored it and put the books back into their inventory.

  34. Trevor says:

    Yo…you just said crap… 0_0

  35. Namba says:

Live in an apartment, whenever i get a package i have to go to the petrol station, where my post depot is, to get them, it takes about 10 minutes to walk there, could be worse

  36. LydiaRaven says:

hmm….maybe biff needs to come down here and find out who’s been stealing my mail XD

  37. Mr dude says:

my frogs!! my banana frogs have been stolen! DAMN AMAZON! πŸ˜€

  38. Graven says:

The mere fact he was able to tape the Box up from inside by himself is amazing.

  39. Wizard says:

I do a lot of my shopping online, usually without any problems. Well, except for some taillights I once ordered for my car. Online tracking showed that they’d been delivered, but I hadn’t seen them anywhere. I called the company, they said the delivery instructions had said to deliver to the back door. Where they came up with that I have no idea, I certainly didn’t request it. But, I checked and there were the packages, next to the back door. Hey, I never used the back door at that place. How was I supposed to know?

  40. KZero says:

sakanagai: T_T I was hoping I’d be the first one to make that observation about Biff in a box looking like a cockroach. Now I won’t be cool for it. But yeah, I noticed that too instantly.

kenshin620: I smell follow up comic. Seriously, I could see that. Chris? Someone keeps Biff-package?

  41. Requiem says:

    “Biff? BIIIIIIIFF!!!” πŸ˜›

  42. Mosog says:

Years ago, I worked in customer service for a mail-order company. Got at least 3 calls a week about lost/missing/damaged packages. Remember one story from a lady who came home to find her package ripped open and some neighborhood dogs on the front lawn playing tug-of-war with her merchandise.

  43. Renan says:

    solid biff. classic.

  44. Alice Love says:

Solid Biff xD I demand a picture of him catching the culprit with a big red ! above his head.

I ordered some CD over the internet, and when it was delivered to me the company didn’t register as being delivered, and I got like 6 of the CDS, 5 for free before I had to call and tell them to stop. For some reason they never asked me to return the CDS o.o

  45. Felix says:

    Snake? Snaaake?
    BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFF!

  46. MrD says:

This is probably how Biff came into the world. He was (mis)delivered.
