#293 – Fore

I’ve never played real golf on a golf course. I’m more experienced with mini-golf or frisbee-golf or just hitting a ball around the neighborhood. I used to do that when I was a kid. We would pick out a target and see who could hit it with the least amount of strokes. We somehow never damaged any private property doing that… although there was a close call with a ball bouncing off a tree and a passing car. Now that I’m older I stick to the mini-golf, although there are some old clubs sitting in my basement…

  1. Sax says:

Again with the giants! Have they grown discontented with marbles?

  2. Drglenn says:

Poor biff, sometimes feel like my head has fallen off

  3. Macabelle says:

If at first you don’t succeed, just give up Biff…

I did the exact same thing Chris, the exception being that I did manage to break 13 windows in 3 months.

  4. Smitehammer says:

Sell those clubs on eBay. Use the money to invest in something more deadly, like a Rottweiler puppy or a cheap old microwave with the glass front broken out so it shoots its magical beams around like crazy. Also the puppy has knives taped to his head.

  5. CojoinedCows says:

Looks like the giants are almost as shortsighted as me.
When I was a kid, we used to play “baseball” with whatever improvised bat and ball we had. This caused some property damage, but nothing too serious.

Only when we got a real bat we managed to break some windows.

  6. Bunnyman says:

This is why people shouldn’t shave their head… At least… Not albinos or really really pale people. Never know when those dang giants’re gonna take up golf.

  7. Don’t worry. He has a lot of spare heads.

  8. luckily for him, he has spares

  9. Seraphine says:

He won’t go very far without dimples.
The secret of a good golf ball is the dimples,
    which increases the aerodynamic greatly.

(Sorry Biff, I love you, but the truth is
    you’re not aerodynamic!)

  10. Gobbledegook says:

Ouch! I shuddered when I saw this one…

Do you think his eyebrows would act like stabilizers or wing fins?
He may not be aerodynamic enough to go very far, but he’ll probably go pretty straight.

  11. AG says:

I kinda envisioned Biff’s head as an egg cracking open everywhere when I saw that.

  12. MJeska says:

Out of sheer curiosity, should that be Giants’ Golf Course, plural possessive?

Anyhoo, he’ll probably have a time getting his body out of the giant’s tee bag, no?

  13. Glinkis says:

    Darn, I love this comic!
I just ordered ‘The book of Biff’. =D

  14. Chris says:

Thanks Glinkis! I got the order. 🙂

  15. Chris says:

Mjeska, you are assuming that there is more than one giant.

  16. MJeska says:

Ah, so it’s his own personal golf course? Nifty.

  17. Tinned Moron says:

You’re not missing much, golf is only slightly less boring than cricket.

  18. Micah says:

Oh my God! You’ve killed Biff!

Ah…it’s ironic…my brother-in-law’s name is Chris and he used to have a cat named Biff, but he and my sister live in Dallas, so there you go.

  19. Macabelle says:

Tinned, I for one had the opportunity to watch a cricket match. I watched for 3 hours then went to bed at 8:00 Pm. When I woke up in the morning, they were still playing! Cricket may be boring, but at least it doesn’t know when to quit.

  20. Rellen says:

I got it, we are the giants and biff must be a cockroach. The antennie give it awat every time.

  21. Radical Edward says:

Being extremely pale, I can’t go outside when the sun is out. Also, I’m not bald, but I’m able to hide in the grass.

  22. the Scarf says:

Giants now officially exist in the Biff-verse

something like that must be mentioned twice for it to count.

  23. Elkian says:

Believe it (or not): golf is an acronym, made by the Scottish : Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden.
I think I agree. (bombs golf course)

  24. Guz says:

    (or not): http://www.snopes.com/language/acronyms/golf.asp

I guess Biff stumbled upon the opposite of mini-golf … maxi-golf?

  25. From where we come from, this is known as a

  26. speearr says:

Generally speaking, wandering into golf courses is unadvisable….

  27. Psymon says:

Generally speaking, backronyms for older words are not historically accurate etymologies.
How hard is Biff’s head that a giant can send it sailing, separating it from the neck, without even denting it?
In general, pale people want to avoid golf courses—there is likely to be a surplus of skin-scorching sunshine.
