#1171 – Spun

I get nervous around machinery that I’m not familiar with. Especially when I need to tinker with it while it’s running. I remember when I got my first car and learned that to check the transmission fluid I had to reach into the engine compartment while the car was running! What?! With all those zooming belts and spinning blades just moments away from breaking off and slicing into my face! You are crazy! I’m going back to riding my bike!
Also, it’s holiday time in webcomics land! After you have plundered the many wonders of the Biff store you can check off a few more people on your list here:
Evil Inc. – A corporation run by and for super-villains.
Unshelved – A comic strip about a Library.
Not Invented Here – For the programmer in your life.
Captain Stupendous – It’s tough juggling your awesomeness as a superhero with your family life.
Kinokofry – Gorgeous prints to brighten your walls.
Templar Arizona – A town that doesn’t exist, and the people who live there.
Something Positive – Prints, original art and comics.
Spacetrawler – SciFi humor and coffee.
Lunar Bistro – 8-Bit tarot cards for the classic video game lover on your list.

Oh fun. Having your face so close to the engine while its running.
I have a fear of machinery as I used to work around large machines at a printing place years ago. Scary stuff.
Working on bikes can be dangerous, too. Fixies, at least.
You don’t want to see this, yet you know you do:

Used to work on motor-generators and generators. Sometimes, you have to polish or ‘stone’ the commutators on DC generators. That means a thousand pounds (or much more, sometimes!) of rotating equipment, and you have to stick your hands *right* into it!
👿
Wind tunnel, so that’s what that is called? I heard of a different name.
God, you are so random. I love it.
Damn bad habits.
Wind tunnels are quite dangerous. I’m surprised he survived that!
Mangled Biff Week!
A wind tunnel in a toilet? I think I missed something here….
@ZeoViolet – The wind tunnel is in the kitchen. Why would you put one in the toilet?

I bet that toilet seat is really cold.
@Radical Edward: In Biff’s world, wind tunnels are *nothing* compared to a simple piece of paper.
@Cari: Every week is Mangled Biff Week!
I get it now. Just perspective problems.
@ZeoViolet – The comic takes place 10 minutes after the incident described in the caption.
I’m pretty sure the wind tunnel is just an excuse so he doesn’t have to explain why he tried to flush both arms.
I’ve cleaned the blades of a wind tunnel while they were turning. Gotta work fast! It helps if you whistle with the Indiana Jones theme…
P.S. Everyone knows the wind tunnel goes in the bedroom.
