Yeah, I'm kinda sad that this place got so quiet. I think the thing that got me the most was when I went on hiatus for several months earlier this year and only three threads had new posts in this one. I kinda lost the will to keep up with it, myself, which I realize only helped the problem get worse...
It also probably didn't help that a friend of mine started her own forum (which I'm an admin in now
), and I've been pouring a lot of time into keeping that one running smoothly.
This forum is definitely had a positive impact on my life. I mean, had I never joined it, I would have never met any of you guys, and by extension wouldn't have gotten Scarf and Drakey into my inner circle of "in the flesh" friends.
But, yeah, I can see how it would seem so negative to newcomers. Especially with the Green/Orangey debate and later the Dom/Orangey struggle.
(Heh, wow. Everyone else had a cohesive paragraph regarding their respect for the forum, and what do I do? Disconnected one or two sentence blurbs.)
