This thread is devoted to any and all types of comc book talk. Whether it is the books, movies, or cartoons. Whether it's Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, or your own you made. Here we talk comicbooks and our adiction there to.

I am having a orgasm over the next Iron Man movie.

It seems a little redundant to talk to you about comics here. That's half of what we talk about on the phone. And we may be the only comic book nerds here. I'm sure there are other forums dedicated to comic books other places on the internet, we could find one and both join. Plus, change the title, really. I love you, but yeah...

I have almost 900 comic books... Among my top favorite, though, would have to be Sandman... Trust me, there are comic book nerds everywhere.

And I like the title, but this is not the time nor the place to get into a religious debate.

I didn't know you where into them, Mave! I guess I don't know you very well at all... So you're a DC then? What do you think of Teen Titans. (The comics, not the cartoons.)

Those ones I have yet to read... But that doesn't mean I'm not interested in them. All I know of the Teen Titans is the show, so I don't really have much to base them on... And if I wasn't into comics, I doubt I would be married to Todd. Almost every singe tattoo he has is a comic book character. And our room is full of statues and toys. And not just DC. Marvel, Dark Horse, Vertigo, Top Cow. Even Bongo!

I don't read many comics, but my dad has plenty of old Ironman comics, most of the Sandman books, and Watchmen. I definitely prefer Marvel when it comes down to it, though.

I just last night got a membership to Marvel online comics. I now have access to almost all of Mavels Comics. I just have to sift threw them for the ones I want to read.

Whoa, that's pretty cool. $60 for a year's subscription granting access to all the comics that are stored online? That's pretty crazy.

Good crazy.

EDIT: I just tried to read the free Iron Man #1 and Firefox crashed hard. I think I'll try again when I get a new computer, this one's fussier with what it will and won't do than I am with food Wink

Yes Comics and food are good when together as long as you don't get it on the book. But Computers and food  don't really go well together.

I'm not sure how many comics we have at the moment (Pel and I share a collection). Our collection, much like us, is separated. On top of that, we mostly have the hardcover/softcover monthly compilations because they are easy to get and easier to take care off. Plus you get more in one sitting. Each of those are around 4 comics a piece. But we have more them a bookshelf worth after this Christmas. *glee*

My 4 Sandman Absolutes were $100 a piece, but so worth it. I don't know how much the whole collection is worth, but I know it's a lot.

Yes, yes they are. Good thing I don't have any bills to pay, or else this would be a lot harder.

Supervillain theme would be better.

There's a place in my area that can do anything with a cake. Or you could go with someone on the internet, they can do anything.

Also, on the topic of comics, my dad has a hardcover Watchmen collection with an autograph and original illustration from Neil Gaiman.

Why Neil Gaiman? It's Alan Moore's book, and Dave Gibbons was the illustrator there. How does Neil Gaiman fit in? I also have a hardcover Watchmen, but no sig by Neil Gaiman... I do, however, have a Buffy poster signed by Joss Whedon and Jo Chen.

The only time I've ever had a comic book was when, one year for some holiday, my dad bought me and my siblings all an X-Men comic book with tickets to go see the X-Men movie. I could read by then, but he put the books away, I think, until I could understand them. Have not really seen or heard or thought about them since.
