"hit self with ax" is an inside joke between Miester and I. He was playing a text based adventure and was explaining that you could do just about anything in this game. So, after he got an ax from an ogre, I asked him to demonstrate by telling the character to "hit self with ax." Well, it did, and it died.

Have you ever played shadowgate on the NES? You can hit>self, and it comes up with a picture of some fireworks, and says "Ouch, that smarts!".

I'm not really a gamer, so no, I haven't played Shadowgate. But I do know that if you <a> at a fireplace in FF4 that you'll say "ouch." I loved doing that, that's how I found the Mysidia fireplace. |
