I know that Simple Machine forums have a way to get more posts per page, but this forum doesn't seem to support that feature. I am used to seeing 50 posts per page, versus the fifteen here, and the page numbers are just intimidating. I know this is a selfish thing to ask, but I wish there was that feature here.

We can get something in moderation, the amount of pages per topic is pretty staggering, but I don't want to get in the way of slower connections.

If you bookmark a post on the page, rather than the actual page, it should keep the same links.

I like it sort of better this way. On fifty or fourty posts per page, I have to do a lot of scrolling and more often than not, by the end of the page I can't even remember the first half of any conversation. I think that this would be especially disastrous as we appear to be going off-topic every fifteen posts or so. To my mind, this leads to mass confusion.

Why not try upping it to twenty or twenty-five per page for a month, see what people think, and go from there?

Is it possible to make a new forum theme with fifty posts per page, so people who want fifteen PPP stick with the one they've got, and people who want fifty PPP use that theme?

I think being able to choose a layout for yourself would be ideal, but if that's not possible, I lean towards more posts per page.
