There are a 110 or so Biff comics that have been transcribed into the Oh No Robot database. I could use some help getting the rest of them typed in. When it's all done we'll have a nice database where you can search the text of all the comics... then you won't have to try and remember the # or title of a comic when you want to see it again.

Just look for the "transcribe this comic" button near the bottom of the sidebar. Once a comic has been transcribed the button goes away, so if you don't see it then that comic has been done already.

Just contributed about 5 or so since I had nothing to do and felt I might as well use my time to do something helpful.  Hope they're alright.

I've found some of my favorites among the remaining untranscribed ones. The time in a bottle, baby pool of cement, and lemon juice eye drops, for example. I'm glad I got to do those...

Alright Grin! There were several times that I wanted to find a comic, but didn't know the number and would have to search the entire archive. Now I can pull up a Biff comic for any occasion...

Well I usually do the transcriptions as soon as a new comic comes out. I don't mind, it's just one minute of my life, I hope I didn't make too many typos though.

EDIT: When calling up the transcribe page there are a lot of hits that are just search pages or similar, anyway you can hinder it from registering those, because quite frankly, it makes it hard for me to find comics that need transcription. It would be good if there was one link to a comic after you submit the transcription, the I could just go ne to one.
Possibly just enter an empty transcription and accept it?

P.S.: Couldn't you just copy and paste from when you are making the comic?

Yeah I'm trying to get those extra pages out of the archive but I haven't been successful yet. All the actual comics have been transcribed at this point. (except for brand new ones) Back when the thread was started there were a couple hundred.

I could copy and paste but it's faster to just type it again. I can't enter a transcription for a comic until it's live... and it doesn't go live until midnight when I'm sleeping... then I get up and go to work. By the time I get home, someone has already transcribed it for me and I have that much more time to work on the next one. Smiley

That's strange because I did find a few that weren't, but then again, it is strange because I found one comic entered twice? Oh well, doesn't matter, what really matters is where this went:
http://thebookofbiff.com/2006/12/24/biffs-secret-santa/
And the guest strips are all 404s as well.

Yeah the guest strips and the secret santa comic are getting moved to their own page. Haven't finished it yet, hopefully soon. Smiley

I can't wait to read the guest strips, I always like seeing other people's perspective on a comic.

I have replaced the standard search button with the oh no robot button so now you can search for the text of any comic. So as long as you can remember at least one word from the comic you can now easily find it.

A word other than "Biff"
