How d'you mean defense? What kind of things would a moderator need to do? I'd obviously love to be one, but I'm not sure if I'd be the most appropriate choice, depending on the criteria.

Split important threads that get off topic. Delete threads or posts when some rogue person or bot registers just to post porn or spam. Lock threads that are just a neverending argument where people are being mean to eachother.

I'd say either I or Orangey. We both log in alot of time and are both level-headed and nice people. I'm sure we also have about the say amount of mod experience. I know I do alot of "white knight" stuff. Backseat Mod if you will.

I feel that were I in a position of authority, it would necessitate levelheadedness, and bring it about; that is, as a moderator, I would be more inclined to be more staid. Besides, recently I have been much more laid-back; for instance, I kept my tongue civil about goldie when she was new, despite the irritation she originally engendered. I seem to recall you saying the first inflammatory thing about her... That said, I think you'd be an effective moderator yourself, so... EDIT: Huh, I guess we both are. Okay, that works. |
