Vs. Battle #18 SpriteMeister vs. Poltaap

"Could someone explain to me why so many hunters are after me?"
Shy draws the Golden Sword and brandishes it half-heartedly.

[Pieman]

"You're so fit! Woo!"


"Get you vendories here! Just ask, we may possibly have it!"

[Poltaap]

*in front of Shy stands poltaap, holding a scroll. Behind him floats bob, looking like a disturbing parody of Justitia.next to them is a shadowy jury*

"Shymeister, you stand be for us today because you are accused of working whit the shining one. don't try to deny it, the masks and your unearthly musical gifts gave it away. you have two choices now, eider you confess, tells us where he is and you will be given a fast and painless death or you can deny it and we will get his wereabout our way..."

[Pieman]

"Get your hangman's noose here for only 3 cajingies!"

[SpriteMeister]

"I won't try to deny any contact with this 'shining one', because I have no idea who you're talking about and might actually have met him once. People go by so many different aliases nowadays."
Shy stands taller, and puts up a more defiant stance.
"However, if you think your threats make a difference, guess again."

[Poltaap]

"dose the jury have anything to say?"

"I think he is telling the truth."
"but he is hiding something..."
"just extract his memories so we can get this over whit!"

*poltaap absorbs the jury and hides inside bob*

"well then, just let me poke around in your head and I will be out of here."
"did I miss anything?"

*bob right hand is covered whit a shadowy glove whit razorsharp claws*

"don't worries, no one have ever complained about this...probably because they all died, but anyway..."
"the world is so cold..."

[SpriteMeister]

"Dammit. I hate it when my enemies possess someone. Oh, well, I know how to handle this."

Shy whips out a strange looking device and aims it at Bob. A small green seed fires out of it, and when it hits, Poltaap is removed from him, but still solid. A light arrow pierces through Poltaap before he can become insubstantial again.
(Yay for mystery seeds.)

[Poltaap]

the arrow blows a Small hole in poltaaps Chest, but it closes up allmost instantly.

"lets end this now, I got a world to destroy"

shadowy tendrils rise from Shy's shadow, pulling him to the ground while poltaap charges

"judgement day have come for you!"

[Silfedac]

*bob right hand is covered whit a shadowy glove whit razorsharp claws*

(Ooh, blatant theft from a movie series already? This battle should be good.)
Jack appears in the stands with his peanuts. "Ooh, this battle looks much more exciting than that other one."

[SpriteMeister]

Shy does a spin attack to dislodge the shadow, then rolls behind Poltaap and slashes up through his torso. (The glow from his sword repels small shadow creatures and shadow fog within ten feet of him.)
(Sword being used: The Master Sword (Twilight Princess, post enchantment))
"You realize how many times I've stopped someone from destroying the world? At least thirteen. You don't stand a chance."

[Poltaap]

the slash turs poltaap into a whirling cloud
"don't underestimate me, mortal"
crawls into shy's robe, turns solid and starts slashing him all over his body whit small thorns

(Ooh, blatant theft from a movie series already? This battle should be good.)

(Wow, you really didn't notice? Freddy Krueger, Nightmare on Elm Street?)

[Poltaap]

(where in gods name is sprite?)

(Sorry, I've been distracted lately.)
As soon as he becomes a cloud, the light from the blade sends him away from Shy.

Shy pulls out the Gust Jar and starts sucking Polty into it. When enough of him has been sucked in, Shy fires him into the stands.
He puts away the jar, re-draws his sword and charges up energy while he waits for Pol to approach again.
"You shouldn't underestimate me, either."

[Poltaap]

casts mind sooth on the arena, creating a 30ft shadowy dome over shy and repossesses bob.

"have you missed me, bob?
"get away from me!"

pulls out his airpowered halfblood rifle and fire of a hail of darts into the dome.

hurry up and fight

(Chill out. I have a girlfriend lot of distractions, and it's getting to the end of term. I'm going to be slow at posting for a while.)

"Haven't you ever heard? Never fire blindly into a cloud of smoke (or darkness, in this case)."

In a flash of green light, Shy is behind Bob. He fires a Mystery Seed at point-blank (un-possessing Bob again), and then uses Mortal Draw on Poltaap.
He follows by casting Nayru's Love on Bob.

[the Scarf]

*wants to shout 'fire a magic missile at the darkness!' but decides against it*
"Hey, Pel's been absent from my battle recently...So I guess I'll watch this one instead."

[Poltaap]

poltaap dodges the stike and jumps into the mind sooth dome

"if you takes away my toy, then will I take yours. Bob, dissarm him"

bob leaps onto shy, nocking him to the ground.

[SpriteMeister]

Shy dispels Nayru's love, slips on the Poltaap mask, and possesses Bob.
"What? Him too?"
"Holy butt! You can sense treasure? D^{uh-nuh-nuh-nuuuuu}h!"

Shy uses his shadow claws to dig for treasure while Poltaap hides in the mind sooth area. When/if he sees Polty emerge, he'll start attacking/defending.

[Pieman]

Clever, although normal size is 9.

Probably to stop people using it to avoid filters too easily.
