I wish I could buy one but no-one will get one for me, nor do I have any money for my own.  Cry

A common complaint, here on the Bifforum. I personally fear that I shall not be able to buy a book until the numbering is well into double digits.

And a good thing, too. Otherwise, Chris and Amanda would be the forum's only members.

I just don't want anyone to feel guilty. Every time I announce a book there are a string of posts from a bunch of people that want to get a book but can't afford it. No worries. Smiley

Yay jobs!

I forget how young some of the forumers here are. You could always rake leaves/mow lawns/shovel snow/get a paper route. That's what I did for money to buy comics when I was a kid before I was old enough to get a "real" job.

Applying for a job in a bookshop tomorrow, they're pretty awesome 'cause they do stuff over Christmas then they take a few people and give them permanent jobs.

Working it around college slurps though, too many half days....

Yeah my best college jobs were the ones where I worked at the college. They were pretty understandable about scheduling. Smiley

rake leaves

If I offered someone, they'd most likely beat me up due to them being a CHAV.

mow lawns

Again, the CHAV factor.

shovel snow

We never get snow were I live.

We did a few years back, but barely a centimeter deep.

get a paper route

School and sleep kind of get in the way.

I did a job for a web design company though for about a week over the summer.

Got a hundred quid for it  Grin

No, you just send high school teachers after them.

Nope, that might get blood on my large metal object.

No, you just send high school teachers after them.

That might work....

I still didn't get a reply on how much the shipping will cost...

While this is true, pointing it out makes you a douche; pointing it out and failing to also point out that he used "form" instead of "forum" makes you a douche-wibbler.

Sorry about that, you went back and edited your post after I had already read it.

Yes, the shipping is $5

I can't drive, and my parents want me to get a job within walking distance. There's a small Mom and Pop store a little ways away from our house, and I'm going to apply for a job there next summer.

I'm late, but I finally bought one... at first I thought only the $100+ editions were available... I was going to come and bitch but I figured I should make sure first... thank God I did.
It's the first one that I will actually get delivered ot my address in the UK which means no unnecesarry wait until I get to Germany. Yay!

Also, I'm poor, otherwise I would probably buy a better version. Student life is so on the edge.

Yeah... I'm one of those hyper busy students, so I left until the last possible day... it was actually already the 17th here.

At least it means I've got a running series of them.
