Yep, it was a joint project. But Gaiman is solely responsible for the awesomeness that is both Sandman and Watchmen, in addition to several other, less famous works, such as Neverwhere.

Good Omens had an interesting story, but I didn't feel the style was on par with what I expect from a Pratchett work.

Duh, no way! REALLY?
It's not like I was implying that Neil Gaiman dragged him down or anything. Nope, that would be foolish to assume.

Or maybe it's just that you don't enjoy the style of Neil Gaiman as much as you enjoy the style of Terry Pratchett, and therefore assume that Gaiman must have "dragged him down" because the book wasn't as good as you expected it to be.

Speaking of Terry Pratchett, I just went to the bookstore....
Which ones (2) should I read first, and which ones should I return and re-buy at Powells because it's cheaper?
Mort Reaper Man Sorcery Thief of time

I'm reading Mort. I'm gonna keep Reaper Man as well, but I will eventually get Sourcery. It's just a matter of when.

If you haven't read pyramids, read it. It's my favourite one; the middle drags on a bit, bit the beginning and end make up for it. Twice.

I will remember to get that next time I'm at the bookstore. Reading Mort is only backing up my decision that Pratchett should be writing the H2G2 book.

If anyone finds TP to difficult to read (I know some people who do) Then read Eric; It's an easier read than the others. It does proceed the story of another book, but it's fine on its own.
