Back to Biff advertising: low-population webcomic lists are also good targets as of now. In the big lists, anything we do will be drowned out beneath the endless swarms of fans for such comics as CtrlAltDel, Penny Arcade, and Sluggy Freelance. If we can find a lot of small webcomic lists and get Biff a top ranking in all of them, we stand a better chance of getting new readers, and eventually we might be able to take on larger webcomics in more popular lists. I propose we start compiling a list of webcomic lists.

This idea deserves its own thread.

Let me know if you need me to make some graphics for any of this.  Grin

Graphics can't possibly hurt.

Graphics are awesome. Also, the only lists I know of are big ones.

Ok, let me know if you need something specific. Like a certain size for a forum sig or avatar or what have you.

A 100 by 100 avatar would be good; as of now, I'm just using your tiny banner ads.

EDIT: Using something like this might help.

It should also probably have something besides Biff's face (web address, or at least Biff's name); just having Biff's face isn't much more than a knowing wink at fellow readers.

Hmm... I have a "Share This" link under each comic that lets you choose from SU, Digg etc.

I wish I could be of some help here, but the only forums I go on are this one and Spritemeister's, and he, I, Silf are the only ones that go on that, so...

Submitting links to Stumble Upon, Reddit, Digg etc is also a great help.

To be honest, I'm not sure what those even ARE, much less how to use them.

I'm not exactly what you'd call 'net-savvy'...

They are essentially sites for rating pages on the net.

Just go to here, download it, and create an account. Then go through the Biff archives giving "thumbs up" to any comic that you think will make a good first impression.

I would love to have a Biff spray for TF2. That game gets a couple hundred-thousand players daily. It needs to be in some special file format though.

I'd like to get a signature bar for Biff, but it would have to be very small. I'm a member of a couple of other forums, but I know for sure that I'd be able to use it on vexxiang.com only, the others I have doubts about.

They're too tall for the forum I'd be guaranteed able to use them on without me having to sacrifice either my favorite sigimage or my quote.

Still, small sacrifices are worse than no sacrifices. How tall are you thinking of, Drakey?

Call me Drake. The y was a whim.
Umm... I was thinking very short, somewhere between 15 and 20 pixels, no more than 25.
400 wide at the widest, I think...

Chris, you should use the 400x25 as your BoB forum signature.  That would rule, seeing as you already have the Biff avi.
