I like Linkin Park.

On my mp3 are albums from the artists I names, some japanese songs, and some background music from kingdom hearts. Don't laugh, it's good and very soothing. Especially Dearly Beloved.

I enjoy 80's thrash, punk, classic rock, and old school hip-hop. Aren't I different.

Look for Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, and Megadeth. They are the big four in thrash.

Do you like new Metallica or old Metallica? I love the early stuff, Kill Em All, Master of Puppets. Ahhh! They don't make them like that anymore.

If you like Enter Sandman you should check out Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, and Trapped Under Ice. Some true Metallica my friends.

DomamicX, read the lyrics to those songs. Complex bits of Bifftastic poetry.

Dun dun "Hard" dun dun "Rock, Halleluja!" God I love that.
I think of Lordi as a friendly GWAR. With songs like "Penguin Attack", "Poopie Britches" and "F***ing an Animal", youjust gotta love them.

I've got pretty diverse tastes, though the majority of my favourite bands fall into the "alternative rock" genre I guess.

My favourites would be (in no particular order - I can't rank them because they're so varied and I'm always in the mood for something different):

They Might Be Giants, Snow Patrol, Pet Shop Boys, Sigur Rós, Doves, Daphne Loves Derby, Metallica, Cary Brothers, Zero 7, Keane, Super Furry Animals, Abandoned Pools, Barenaked Ladies, Hard-Fi, Dragonforce, The Divine Comedy, Elvis Costello, The Fray, The Go! Team, Gorillaz, Josh Joplin, Joshua Radin, M. Craft, Junior Senior, Lazlo Bane, Oasis, Owsley, The Smiths and Stars.

Though of course, I have tons of bands that I like but only have one or two songs which I adore (for example one of my favourite songs ever is "A Murder of One" by Counting Crows, but most of the rest of their stuff I find kinda boring, or just "nice" and nothing more).

I also have plenty of TV/movie/video game music and remixes in my library (I dislike OCRemix though - they have such a limited supply of songs due to their uploading system where it has to be of a certain quality in their opinion to get through - I used to spend hours on VGMix back in the day, yes there were a lot of amateur songs but I found so many gems on there for games that OCRemix doesn't have even a single remix for).

My favourite artists in the soundtrack genre would be:

Koji Kondo (Lots of Nintendo music), Jun Senoue (Lots of Sonic music), Crush 40 (Did a lot of songs for the previous generation Sonic games), Murray Gold (did the music for the 2005-2007 Doctor Who revivial series), Fumie Kumatani (did music for Sonic Riders and Secret Rings), Graeme Norgate (worked on a lot of Rare games, but all the music I have by him is from the excellent Timesplitters series), Hideki Naganuma (did the funky music of Jet Set Radio and Sonic Rush), Joe Hisaishi (writes most of the music for those magical Studio Ghibli films), Jon Brion (I've only really heard his work on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but it's Bifftastic enough for him to be listed as a favourite), Kenichi Tokoi (did music for Sonic and the Secret Rings and Space Channel 5), Kenta Nagata (did the Bifftastic Mario Kart 64 soundtrack), Masamichi Amano (scored the fantastic little anime series called Giant Robo), Norio Hanzawa (wrote one of my fave soundtracks - the music for the N64 game Mischief Makers).

I also have a lot of game soundtracks with the artist just listed as "Nintendo" or "Sonic Team" etc, so I'll just say that whoever wrote the soundtracks to the Japanese version of Sonic X, the Sonic CD soundtrack (I love both versions), and the various artists involved in the vartiety filled Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic 2006 soundtracks - you guys rock too).

Yeah that post was long.  I like too many artists, hehe.

I have a couple of times.  D=  I remember setting up a special playlist on my iPod Shuffle to listen to in the car, and about a couple of hours in I noticed it kept "skipping" tracks before realising I had just kept nodding off every now and then.

I wasn't driving, haha.  I am old enough to, but I'm yet to find the time or bother to take a test.  The Uni I'm going to doesn't allow students parking on campus anyway so no point learning for another year or so.

It already does. My friend has it. And it plays movies too.

I bet you listen to music while you sleep

Who in their right mind doesn't?
