 Sad
I would have to say my favorite books would have to be anything by Bernard Goldberg.  He's a great political author.  Check out his book Bias if you can.  Most public libraries probably carry it.

When it comes to political books, everyone needs to read Philip K. Howard's Death of Common Sense.  It reveals how crazy bureaucracy is in this country.  It also reveals how much money this useless "fairness" costs the taxpayers, as "our" representatives are like children in a candy shop with $100 they found on the street.  They are spending OUR money, so they don't care how much butt they "buy" with their pork barrel spending.

Politics aggravate me too much. I try to avoid them while still staying knowledgeable, which is really hard.

Yeah, he's the PM.
After a quick Google search, our MP is... http://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/adrian_bailey/west_bromwich_west]Adrian Bailey. He's for the war in Iraq, against an investigation into the war, and doesn't want a transparent Parliament.

On the subject of books again: has anyone read Trainspotting, or any of that series of novels by Irvine Welsh? I booked (no pun intended... Maybe) it at my library because it's apparently being delivered there.

Personally, I don't make typos. I create new words by accident.

Also, I like most books I have read, excluding Charles Dickens and Daphne Du Maurier.

The dictionary (in any language) also makes for a rather interesting read.

I personally didn't like the dictionary. Flat characters, no plot to speak of.

If you like explosions and/or aliens, check out John Ringo (author, not book title).
History buffs must read The Great War: American Front by Harry Turtledove. You have no choice.

His dark materials trilogy.

The film was A bit lacking in depressing bits. Like the guy with the frozen fish. He seemed fine in the film.

If they make a sequel though, it is going to begin SOO depressing lol. I hope they do make it.
