I have to agree with Torg, New Moon is effing crazy and vampires are not supposed to sparkle.

I said nothing about New Moon. All I said is that Twilight has not set the bar very high.

I've tried to read Twilight. I have not tried to read New Moon, so I say nothing about it.

I don't mind you saying it's bad, then. I just don't like people saying it's bad when they haven't read/tried to read it, or saying the whole idea behind it it dumb. People have written just as unconventional ideas before, and some people think that's fine, but hate the idea of the vampires in Twilight.

I'm ashamed to say that I have read four of them, the only twilight book I have not read is ....I think it's called sun break? I'm not sure but it's twilight only from Edwards view point. I wish I didn't know about the existence of that book though.

I read the first two, and am about to borrow the third from my sister. I too knew about the fifth one.

I started reading the first one. I couldn't make it past the introduction. I've read excerpts, I know the story, and I had to read some to a younger sibling to help them get to sleep. I'm fairly well convinced that the book is good for nothing but starting fires.

I tried to read Twilight.

I had to go sit in a cool room and put on calming music after page 60-odd.

I'm currently reading Nasjonalsatanisten

There was a part of me that wanted to hate the book but Erichsen is actually quite a good writer.

I've been reading American Gods, by Neil Gaiman. It's a great book, but it's very dense, and kind of hard to follow.

'S called Midnight Sun. It's only half-finished anyways. Stephanie Meyer stopped writing it and stormed off in a huff when the draft got flamed on her blog.

Edgar Allen Poe's short stories and poems are the shiznit- well, most of 'em. The Murders in the Rue Morgue and the Purloined Letter I find kind of not so great. And the Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym just drags on and on and on and on...

I dunno. So far "Reaper Man" has been the only thing he's capitalized. Must be important to him. Wink

But I guess I shouldn't be too hard on the new guy. Although he should pop into the Getting to Know You thread so he can get a proper welcome.
