I generally prefer the anime/manga style of drawing (especially the sort of cutesy but not over-the-top cutesy style such as in Azumanga Daioh) to western styles but I don't really read any manga. I prefer anime simply because the animation and sound just makes it more enjoyable for me.
I don't really buy any comics either, but read quite a few webcomics. I haven't bought any comics really since the UK Sonic comic series "Sonic the Comic" went out of publication years ago.
I think I prefer webcomics because you don't have to devote a period of time to them - you can just type in the address, be entertained for a minute and move on, even with story-driven comics, I'd rather wait a couple of days for each page than have about 100 at once and then nothing for a few months until the next volume is out.

I agree on that subject. As to the original topic, I prefer Manga, because of style, and because of the way the story is told, a completely different style from American, though I do still enjoy a comic once in a while.

Imagine Marvel heroes as super powerful flesh eating zombies. Add Ash Williams from "Evil Dead" and "Army of Darkness" in the second half for absolute carnage of gore and chaos. F-ing A!!!!!
