I got 18 booster packs for M:TG (10 future sight, 8 Lorwyn), Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, a stocking full of chocolates (and a pinwheel... go figure), the traditional silly string, this friggin' awesome remote controlled ornithopter, ELECTROPLANKTON!, and this cool little metal box that came with a free one-hundred and forty dollars.

Plus, an ulcer and Martian life (giant microbes) from JuneLovesSpriters, and a painting from her mother.

A "White Elephant" gift is one that is bad for the receiver. It originates from India (I think), where the ruler would give someone he didn't like a white elephant. They were considered sacred, so it was, in appearance, a very valuable gift, but of course wasn't. The person who received it had to house it, feed it, etc. but couldn't use like his other elephants (for farm-like work, etc.) because it was sacred. Misfortune ensues.
A white elephant gift exchange, is (generally at a party) where everyone buys cheap, supposedly useless gifts, and wrap them up. People then draw numbers to determine the order in which they open the gifts. When your turn comes you can either chose to open a new gift, or to take a gift that has already been opened. If you get yours taken from you, then you get the same choices (sans the gift that was stolen from you). Once someone chooses to open a new one, then the next person can go. Gifts can only be stolen three times total (this number varies), and you cannot trade until after the game is over.

Some gifts can actually be really neat, and a surprising amout of poeople walk away satisfied. It's also great fun playing, from trying to 'sell' your gift (trying to convince someone to steal it), to tyring to let your gift go unnoticed (and therefore unstolen). It is MUCH better than giving and receiving lame gifts to/from your extended family.

We were just talking about santa gifts, right? 'Cause otherwise I have to add to my list.
Guitar Hero Three, PJs, a Wii, WoW, two movies, guitar lessons, and some cologne from my uncle, which I am relatively sure was intended as a gag gift.

Electroplankton IS awesome. Ma mère found it by chance though; every time she goes to a game store, she asks if they have it, and the week before christmas, she was at a game store in Hillsboro, and they told her they had a used copy in the store in Gresham (I think it was Gresham... I don't remember). She of course RAN over here and bought it.

1) I live in England, so those prices and shipping costs, as well as waiting times, would be different for me.
2) It's out of stock anyway.

Thanks for the links though ^^

Whoo, found it today. On sale, too.

£20 (roughly $40), reduced from £25.
Cheesy
Luminaria are awesome, and Volvoice/Rec-Rec would be great for annoying people in a cramped airplane boarding queue.

My favorites are beatnes and volvoice.

I like to say stuff into the inversion filter and then try to reproduce those sounds and see how close to the original phrase it comes out.

Cologne is gross....is makes my eyes water, and depending on what type, anywhere from a slightly annoying cough, to a full out hacking session in which I can't get myself to stop coughing and sneezing....yuck...

everything else is cool though!
