I'm reviving this thread because I need to rant.

One of my best friends is having a birthday party tomorrow. Ordinarily, this would be a good thing. Unfortunately, my little brother is also having his birthday party tomorrow, at a similar time. Now, I love my friends, but I rarely get chances to spend time with them outside of school. I don't want to go to my brother's birthday party. Frankly, running around a waterpark with seven twelve year olds doesn't appeal to me. I'd much rather go to my friend's party, and see my friends again for the first time since summer started. But my parents say I have to go to my brother's party. I can see why they're saying that, it's his birthday, we're related, I should be there, but I really don't want to go, and I've spent a lot of the summer with him anyways. I love and respect my parents. I know they've gone through everything I have. I know they're smarter than me, although sometimes I wonder. But sometimes, I get so frustrated with them.

Phew. Okay, rant over. I've got a large chunk of things out there, and I feel better.

As far as rants go, that was rather well-mannered. I'm proud of you.

Back from the party. It wasn't quite as bad as it could have been, but I still would have preferred to have gone to my friend's party instead. One thing I noticed, though: one of my brother's guests is a few years older than him, putting her about a year younger than me, and she's pretty hot. And the party was at a waterpark, so yeah. Bonus.

We went on vacation to California last year, and while we were there we went to Great America. There were a surprising number of girls wearing white shirts, and almost every one of them went on the water rides. California does have its uses.

I don't see what other reason anyone could possibly have for wearing white clothing. Did you know that they even make white bathing suits? And people buy them?

Spandex and polyester don't become see-through when they get wet, dearest. They have too many layers to show anything- that's what the pads in the bra part are for, anyway, so people can't see your nipply bits. Buying a white swimsuit is every bit as sensible as buying a black, blue, pink, Orangey, yellow, or dare I say, paisley one.

I remember, in art class back when I still had art class, the teacher was holding up examples of patterns and asking us to identify them. I was the only one who knew what paisley was. I felt immense pride, then equally immense shame.

Grar, on topicness. I had to babysit from 9-1 and now I have to babysit some different kids from 4:30-10.
I'm getting paid, but holy butt.
Also, mom is mad at me because her party is tomorrow and I have to clean a bunch of stuff.
I swept and dusted when I got back and I just realized that I haven't eaten.
