The Pirate vs. Ninja thread

Somebody had to do it, and it might as well have been me.
The point is, obviously, to give a reason(s) why one is better than the other. You don't have to stick to one side, either. Make sure they are good arguments, and not "Pirates PONY j00 YAR!" or "Ninjas sux0r and pirates RAWK!"

Examples:
PirateFan497: You never hear of a hit ninja movie like "Ninjas of the Caribbean" (1 point for Pirates)
NinjaFan682: Ninja are highly trained while pirates are unskilled rogues (2 points for Ninja)
PirateFan497: There is no "Teenage Mutant Pirate Turtles" (1 point for Pirates).
NinjaFan682: That doesn't count. TMNT is very popular.
SpriteMeister: Sorry, that only counts for one point, NinjaFan. And he's right about TMNT, PirateFan.
     Score: Pirates (1), Ninja (1)

I'll post the current score each time I make a post. Since I'm the judge, I alone decide which points count and which ones don't.

And James Bond? Sam Fisher? Solid Snake? Bourne? They're all ninjas, just differ'nt kind a' ninjas...

Besides, I would hardly count those guys as ninjas. I mean, come on, James Bond? That example alone lost you your argument.
And if you want to counter-argue "Ninjas of the Caribbean", counter it with an example of a famous ninja movie, not with a rant.
Thirdly, the examples were just examples. That's why the score was tied in the first post. If I were posting my own opinions, then the score would likely be Pirates: (0), Ninja (5)

Another note: I never promised to be an unbaised judge, but I will try to remind myself that I'm not here to kill pirates .

PIrates have to deal with some real nasty things like ghost ships.(Pirates +1)

Ninjas are all about hiding and running away from the enemy. Pirates are bound to the sea, and have to fight things out. THey can't just run away. (Pirates +1, Ninja's -1)

Me, as a voter:
Pirates are at least as cowardly as Ninja. The good pirates go in, raid a port town at night, and leave before the town's authorities can do them any harm. The sucky pirates are caught by the City Guard and killed. While at sea, they run away once they start losing, and only start fighting back when the other ship outruns them. (-1 for Pirates)
Not to say Ninja don't attack people at night, though.

Silfedac: I thank you much for your help, but I'm the judge here. I was only counting one last time because it was being used as both a counterpoint and an argument. Suddy was making two points, albeit on the same subject.
Let it be known, however, that points are only taken away with a counterpoint. If you have a reason why Ninja slurp, then a point goes to Pirates for not sucking as much.
