Chapter: Comics
My current ice cream topping of choice is pineapple and chocolate syrup. It’s a throwback to a sundae I would make for myself out of stuff we would commonly have in the house. As a kid I would also throw on shredded coconut but I guess I outgrew that part. What’s your favorite?

I’m a simple man. Give me hot fudge and whipped cream and I’m happy.
Ice cream optional.
vanilla, with chocolate fudge topping.
Funny, I used to love frozen peas as a child. Hated them cooked.
The cracking theme continues…poor Biff’s aching tooth! Frozen peas are not a dippin’ dots substitute.
I don’t know about on ice cream, but frozen peas are delicious by themselves. Try them! They’re not solid — just soft enough to crunch, like a piece of popsicle, and sweet. I used to eat them a lot as a kid.
I’m not a huge chocolate fan, so I usually stick to the fruits: strawberry, pineapple, cherry. However, if I’m not in a fruity mood, I go with caramel and marshmallow sauce.
Chocolate dust. It’s the little bits that break off from the tops of chocolate chips. They used to sell it at the Ambrosia factory store, until the factory moved out of downtown. The new store they opened up had no clue how to get the stuff.
I like to put some ice cream on my ice cream. Maybe if I’m feeling extravagant, I’ll put it in a bowl.
Some crumpled pecans and maple syrup on vanilla ice cream. Mmmmmm…..
Gotta go with caramel on vanilla. Amazing.
It sounds weird, but top quality olive oil on vanilla ice cream. I read it in a magazine, and its AWESOME. Really. Try it.
Chocolate syrup and peanuts, or walnuts.
Unfortunately certain allergies of mine prevent me from eating ice cream more than say, once a year.
Hot fudge and strawberry sauce. Yum!
Heh, I mainly agree with Shorty; I could eat just the fudge at times.
I try not to have a favorite, so I can try lots of different things. I like the idea of crushed pineapple and coconut. Only I’ll toast the coconut first. 🙂 You should try that sometime.
Steak, medium rare
Peanut Butter Sauce, Pineapple and Hot Fudge – maximum!
Hot fudge on cookies ‘n cream ice cream. If the cookies ‘n cream isn’t available, add crushed Oreos to the topping. Gotta have the cookies. 😀
There are toppings for ice cream? I thought the secret was to have stuff inside the ice cream.
Butterscotch syrup and whipped cream. With a cherry.
Or a dash of triple sec and a dusting of cardamom over high-quality vanilla ice cream. Decadent!
@JeeBs;
I’m going to try that… I may be hunting you down, later!
Marshmallows were always a favourite for me because they freeze and get a really interesting texture. But the classic combo of hot fudge and salty peanuts is hard to beat.
not really a topping, but:
I love making a float with chocolate ice cream and Mt. Dew. (I’ve been doing it since was a kid>30 years ago.)
That’s WAY funnier than it looked on my phone when I couldn’t read the caption!
Hey, Chris, can you use a bigger font in the comic panel? My phone shows the picture ok but it scrambles the font. I mean, it’s hard enough to enjoy your comic with all the screaming kids on the bus distracting me, sometimes I even forget to use the bus’s turn signals. Of course, maybe if I didn’t get so drunk before starting my route, but man, all the horn blowing and kids yelling and unexplainable thumping from time to time on the underside of the bus, the LAST thing I need is a hard time reading, y’know?
Thanks man!
I don’t know if this is a topping per se, but I’d go with root beer.
I like chocolate with cherries and hot fudge.
I like mint chocolate chip ice cream just by itself. Only baskin-robbin’s, though. They have chocolate shavings, rather than hard, frozen, tooth-breaking chips.
On frozen yogurt, on the other hand, (the plain tart flavor, I go to the place where you self-serve, just get the yogurt, then go home and put on it cut-up fresh strawberries I’ve had sugar on for a while, so they’re strawberry-flavored syrup, too!
I usually like my ice cream unadulterated, but when I do choose to adulterate it I usually use a fine dusting of cocoa powder (as in baking chocolate, not as in hot cocoa mix, that would be gross).
i like to chop up frozen reese’s cups and put them on top of my ice-cream, or kit-kat bars ^^ so tasty, also, another thing that is super good, french fries and ice-cream ^^ dairy queen is a great place for this (or wendy’s… but that’s not quite ice-cream, lol) gotta eat it before the fries get cold and the ice-cream melts though >.<
I like vanilla ice cream with peanut butter.
dark chocolate and caramel.
Raspberry liquer. It’s all…fancy.
well, i have a strange one, i like my vanilla ice cream with unflavored ramen noodles on it, and then with fudge, weerd, but hey, i am a strange man, i used to love my chery ice cream melted and mixed with root beer
Fresh fruit over vanilla ice cream. Currently its mixed fruit. A tasty new sensation with every chomp! 🙂
Cool, food week!
hah, this is the first time i’ve ever actually done something biff’s done. not for years, though, and now i’m wondering if i still like frozen peas on icecream!
*ponders whether 3.42am is too late for trying this idea*
*decides imitating biff in any way is not sensible!*
I like loads of hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry on top of cookies ‘n cream ice cream c:
I used to love drinking chocolate and whipped cream. Now I just have it plain, though I like to mix flavors. Rum & raisin, cookies & cream and chocolate, possibly with a little fudge sauce.
Alternatively, crushed toffee & slivered almonds.
Toppings are only for ice cream that you don’t think is good by itself. My preference is simply mixing all three flavors of Neapolitan, because all three combined tastes better than the combined individual flavors of all three.
Oh, no. I remember the time I learned why they put _mini_ chocolate chips on ice cream.
I once had a gynormous ice cream– 7 scoops of different flavors (bad idea) and choice of 3 toppings/sauces. I picked all chocolate (worse idea). The deal was if I ate it all in a half hour it was free.
I owe my friend $7.50 for it.
I eat frozen peas all the time in summer. I love them. Yum yum.
Gummy bears and Oreo bits on rainbow ice cream.
