#270 – Fort

I’ve been in lots of different kinds of forts. Tree forts, snow forts, couch cushion forts. Some kids down the street built their snow forts out of 2×4 lumber and fiberglass roofing material. They then covered it with a layer of snow that they sprayed with water and then covered with another layer of snow. My couch cushion forts were not nearly as strong as that. But I guess it was always fun jumping on top of them to destroy them.

I used to love making forts out of things when I was smaller, especially with friends.

My friend and I made a fort once entirely out of legos, it was massive. Took something like 15,000 pieces, but it was worth it when we assembled a ramp for remote control trucks to challenge the fort. The fort one. Then we tried a tire off a truck. Tire won. Then we started all over again. Fun times.

Saturday morning cartoons, sugary cereals and couch forts…the trifecta of any good Saturday.

Nice one! My computer’s internet connection is funked up (I’m typing this from a Wii) and I spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support and got nowhere, so I need something to unwind. This helped a lot! Thanks Chris!

  4. Andrew says:

Those pillows can be vicious, cement couch cushions might protect you, but have some land mines just in case.

  5. suepahfly says:

I used to do it all the time, using cemented cushions…
Untill one day, my friend attacked my fort with cemented pillows and the fort collapsed… The cushions fell to the inside of course, where i was hiding.

Since that day, i no longer use cement… It hurts too much, believe me!

  6. Charlie says:

The real question is, who else is in Biff’s house to throw the pillows? Or are the pillows themselves sentient and evil? Demonpillows! Run!

  7. Menchi says:

Hehe, one hell of a fort. 🙂

Wait, does this mean Biff has a mate then who hasn’t made an appearence yet? 😛

  8. P. Reaper says:

My question is, who would challage Biff to a pillow fight?
I know I’m not crazy enough to do something like that.

  11. Kitch says:

Forts were what made childhood, childhood!

  12. Seraphine says:

My mind is a fort. I’ve been accused of hard-headedness.
I am not made of concrete. Pillows are ok, of course, but…
Tell Biff not to jump on my head, please.
    It messes me up.

  13. Kit-kun says:

Awesome. Genius! Thats was so good I laughed out loud. 10/10

  14. Zelly_Fangirl says:

Ah, yes…this reminds me of the days when i’d build forts out of the used tissue boxes that would pile up at my dad’s place. They also made good pointy, cardboard-ish doom to throw at people. XD

  15. Gobbledegook says:

You made me laugh out loud at this one!
Now my coworkers are staring at me funny… oh well.

  16. Oddly Frozen says:

    haha, great!!!

two days ago me and my friends had a beach party and we had a huge sandball fight, each team dug a big hole and then we put boogie boards and surfboards in front and cemented them down with wet sand. my team was the walrus teddy bears and we won 😀

a few minutes later i was buried and made into a starfish with boobs 😛

  17. Q says:

  20. red rule says:

Dx coushin forts are inferior, just make a plushies fort, you can hide fully under them and still see(if you have enough) you can use them as amunition, and you can scare youre sister by hiding in it and waiting till she walks past and then grabbing her ankle muaha aha ah aah

  21. Bob says:

i sure hope he used rebar to join the pieces together, if someone trips on em, were gonna have biff soup

  22. Radical Edward says:

I made forts out of chairs and blankets. I was a little skewed in my perceptions of normal.

  23. Miranda says:

    Simply great.

  24. MetMan.EXE says:

Corey, add another element to that trifecta: Crunch!
    (must have YTV)

  25. Darkpheonix XIII says:

I love making things, forts at the top of the list. The best snowfort I’ve been in was at least five feet high, no roof, windows, multi room, foot thick walls, a snowball supply, and was made by seven fifth graders.

Snow forts could also be excelent for paintball.

  26. Elkian says:

Spikes would work better. Maybe he’s been blacklisted.

  27. Brown Recluse says:

Biff’s eyebrows in this one make me think of bunny ears…

  28. jykcor says:

typing from a wii is haaaaaaarrrrrddddddd!

  29. Squeegy says:

Ah, but pillow forts are more challenging than 2×4 lumber forts! It’s a feat of engineering and architecture to get them to stay up, especially when you crawl in.

  30. the walrus says:

I one up Biff. A fort made entirely out of landmines.
