#249 – Flour

Whenever I use any sort of drain cleaner I get really paranoid. I’m always afraid that I’ll get some on my hand and not realize it and then rub my eyes. Sounds like something Biff would do. ๐Ÿ™‚ The newer gel style liquid drain cleaners aren’t so bad. The older splashy liquid or powdered stuff was a lot worse.

Yeah, we gotta unclog the bathroom sink tomorow. for sinks and shower drains, they sell these little net things that looks like baby bottle nipples only with a wire mesh surrounded by a round metal ring. you put this on the drain, no glue or whatever, and it catches the larger stuff like hair and bits of paper, very valuable when you have a shower shared by people with long hair, like hippies

  2. Alex says:

Darn it, so close to first post. Honestly it took me a few times reading that to realize it said “flour” and not “floor” I was wondering what Biff was doing using his floor to unclog his sink. The answer of course was the same as all my questions about Biff….”it’s Biff”. Frankly, I’m not sure why the flour didn’t work.

  3. Andy says:

Doesn’t flour kinda become dough when mixed with water? Either way, it can only make things worse…I hope Biff knows a good plumber. Or that he can hold his breath for a very long time.

Thank you Ted, that was the joke.

Why yes, yes I am going to say that whenever somebody states the obvious about the joke. Why? Because I can! >.>

  5. Flour can’t unclog the drain, but it can tell you the phone number of a decent plumber if you ask it nicely.

    Trust me, I’ve tried. =D

  6. CojoinedCows says:

Someone else might have closed the tap by now, to stop the water from running. Biff? No.
    I love Biff.

  7. Eleanor says:

On the bright side, he has his”amphibian heritage” in case it completely floods the house.

  8. Tim says:

He should call Mario. That guy hasn’t done any plumbing since the Beanbean Kingdom, he needs the work.

  9. dragonbrad says:

i guesse all pourose rubber bands are out of the question

  10. Gobbledegook says:

I think it’s the flour company’s fault for not explaining it better.

    Tim:
Go to youtube and enter “mario:game over”
    very funny

  11. KuKu says:

    Whoot! False advertisment!

  12. Arctic Fox says:

lol nice ok i actually did that once O.o, though in my case i mixed up the powdered drain cleaner with the flour cuse my sister set them down together, when cleaning the cabinets out.

  13. Squall says:

I can see a rich future for Biff if he decides to sue the flour company for a misleading product title. He might just want to put some in his eye’s in lieu of contacts just for some extra leverage, though.

  14. Wannabeelf says:

    flour + water /= dough
    flour + water = glue

  15. Kristen says:

Its not biff’s fault it’s the flour company’s fault for not putting “not all-purpose flour” on the label.

  16. Andy says:

‘โ€œDoesnโ€™t flour kinda become dough when mixed with water?โ€
Thank you Ted, that was the joke.’

Meh. Couldn’t remember if it did or not. I don’t cook enough for it to stick in my head.

  17. Nova Namina Riff says:

I had food class today and we were making scones. I started washing up and realised I had this very same problem. Coincidence? Maybe.

  18. Reikon Ame says:

The daring the cunning Biff is a true hero showing us you don’t have to stop the source of the problem you just have to stop the thing stopping that source. I mean come on that water keeps flowing but it doesn’t bother Biff all he has to worry about is that flour.

  19. Stryc9 says:

Knowing Biff, he probably has an inside-out food dehydrator so he can dry out his entire garden at once, and find that it takes care of spills just dandy.

  20. Seraphine says:

My mind keeps returning to the very first comment about clogs from Bob– wondering *why* he showers with hippies?!

  21. kenshin620 says:

I wonder what clogged it in the first place? His homemade peanut butter?

  22. Scipo says:

Ha ha! That’s so much hilariousness. That’s a gag you could come back to some day in the future, too. I’m envisioning Biff flying towards the ground wearing a back pack with a rip cord in his hand and a trail of flour behind him. ๐Ÿ™‚ “Once again, Biff realizes..etc”

  23. Natester says:

Chris, this is genius! I believe Biff has entered a new era of comedy: “KITCHEN BLUNDERS”

  24. P. Reaper says:

Biff had that problem too? I’m glad I’m not the only one who played into the lies of the flour company.

  25. Spoot Knight says:

Actually, those hair catcher things don’t work…not for me anyway…

  26. Connoborg says:

Did he think to just turn on the garbage disposal? On second thought, mayhaps he shouldn’t. He’d probly’ get an eyebrow caught in there.

  27. DomanickX says:

    lol funny

  28. Hyshinara says:

I’VE FOUND PROOF OF THE EXISTANCE OF THE “LITORIA CAERULEA BIFFUS” (Bifffrog for short)

  29. dragonbrad says:

why doesen’t biff just turn off the water ?

  30. BlueWaterDragon says:

I love it all!! I was sent it by a friend, and I’m sure I’ll pass it on.

  31. Spoot Knight says:

Nah, he’ll think of a device that will stop the water from overflowing, which then does something else catastrophic.

  32. Josher says:

Lawsuit time. For false advertising, house damage (all of them), and any other terms that can be tacked on. Get some lawyers and go for class-action status against as much of the business sector as possible. Get millions for the lawyers, thousands for yourself, pennies for the consumers, and new restrictions against all purchases/higher costs.

  33. Vince says:

“i mixed up the powdered drain cleaner with the flour cuse my sister set them down together, when cleaning the cabinets out.”

Geez, better be glad the inverse didn’t happen when you were baking something. O.o

  34. bizzybody says:

An icky story. My folks live in a manufactured home they bought used and have massively remodled. The bathtub drain wouldn’t drain very well, they’d tried all sorts of cleaners but nothing worked.

So I finally decided to see about fixing it. The drain has this crossed bar shaped thing in it, there was hair looped over the bars so I took a pocket knife (one of the five different folding knives that always inhabit my left front pants pocket) and cut the hair on top of the bars.

Next I got out my 4″ pair of Diamond channel lock pliers (same pocket as the knives, and the 4″ adjustable wrench) grabbed hold of some of the hair and pulled, and pulled and pulled some more. It was at least a 6″ long tangled mass of hair that was clogging the drain. Since it wasn’t sitting down in the P-trap, the drain cleaners would just flow through it without causing much damage to the hair.

  36. Darkpheonix XIII says:

Our toilets are always clogging, and I always have to plunge them. The worst one, went to plunge, no smell. plunged once, smell so bad I almost threw up. not fun.

  37. Nekogami says:

OMG that is incredible!!! I love this one

  38. the Scarf says:

Darkpheonix, that happens to me all the time…luckily not as often now that i don’t have to share a bathroom with my sis…but the smell just sort of lingers under the water until the water is disturbed by the plunger…so gross…

  39. Elkian says:

Bob: We have always had one of those. Are you northern or something?

  40. the walrus says:

Flour can be used for a great many things, but I think Biff is kind of wrong here. He should have used NaOH, or something of that sort.
