#217 – Laundry

Somehow I can never do laundry at just the right time. I always have half a load, or 3/4 of a load or 1 1/2 loads. I have to scramble up some extra towels or find some hidden fabrics to fill up the washer. If only I had some sort of magic detergent that would let me wash lights and darks together. Then I would always have the right amount.

Hey btw….know where i can get one of those, it’d come in handy when i need to do my laundry. Gaud awful bags to the laundry mat is a pain in the neck!

  2. Kuroiten says:

…and what if they happen to be cotton? How would he find them?

  3. cyber95 says:

    Pre-shrunk!

  4. Magdalena says:

Biff is either very rich, good with building stuff, or has contacts within government to have a shrinking laser within his grasp.

  5. Zadoy says:

I think that Biff lives in this thing I like to call the Future/Past/Present.

Where you have access to so much technology that you are never quit sure what is technology and what is magic from the past. Because we all know that magic existed in the past. We just forgot the real magic words. Thats why we have writen language now.

I have no idea where I’m going with this. I should be sleeping……

    -=Z=-

  6. Robert says:

And he even shrinks his socks…

  7. Biff has a physics lab!?

  8. Vis says:

Wasn’t there those Colour Catcher things that let you wash different coloured things together? Or maybe I’m thinking of something else…

  9. Phantom says:

That’s awsome if I could I would do it, you have no idea how scary it can be going to the laundry mat in the ghetto with like six bags full of clothes at three in the morning…its f***ing scary

  10. Bronze Dog says:

    Doing weird science… while naked.

  11. plumtreefish says:

if you find that detergent, let me know….till then, i’ll continue to refuse to wear white.

and…i’m convinced biff is a genius inventor. sometimes his inventions are useful. his other erratic behavior is easy to attribute to the quirks of being a genius… i’m pretty sure that’s where his money comes from, too. he sells his inventions to the future… ;P

  12. Lucretiel says:

Biff with a science lab…that’s a scary thought. I hope he hass a reverser, or we’d have hav another pants incident…

  13. Synchro says:

But considering the equipment and electricity costs, how much does Biff REALLY save….?

  14. Reikon Ame says:

Wouldn’t he have a problem with his underwear then.

  15. S. Allen says:

Seperating light and dark laundry? Wow… Someone’s fancy.

  16. Nlees says:

The only issue with light and dark is that eventually the light will not be light … so why not just wash ’em all together?

  17. Jeff says:

The question is what happens after he washes the clothes. Does he have an un-shrinking laser?

  18. Heinrich says:

eh… don’t think too hard about it. maybe a future comic will address that…? maybe not.

  19. Crimson says:

Once your darks are faded enough it really is okay to wash them together with the whites.

  20. Karen Ellis says:

See this is where it’s an advantage being goth. Not only do all your socks match but you can put them in with whatever else is in the laundry basket because it’s all black anyway.

  21. Phantom says:

Yes, being goth may make it easy to do laundry but is it really worth it? I mean most goths are just wannabes who really don’t fin in with anyone so the copy who ever is the most different, and that is what I’m not goth, punk, prep, or any other lable that can be though up I wear what I like when I like with whatever else I like and that is the style I call “being myself” maybe some posers should look into it then they won’t look like a**es all the time.

  22. Mike says:

I just throw all my stuff together and wash it. Never bleeds into each other.

  23. dragonbrad says:

i know, mybe biff wins the lottery ALOT , or he is a government agent, the names Bond, Biff Bond, whats biffs middle name

  24. Noodles says:

Wouldn’t shrinking every individual piece of clothing take longer than just washing it all in 2 loads?

Ah whatever, Biff will be Biff,

    Noodles x

  25. Jess says:

    Interesting comment, Phantom.

Sometimes I wear all black. I’m no goth. I just look good in it.
I don’t dress emo. Why? Because it looks terrible on me, and I can’t get new glasses for a few more months, because the insurance won’t pay for them until then.
Sometimes labels just, well… fit. It’s up to everyone’s choice.
If people want to wear a label, that’s as much their choice as dressing ‘uniquely’. And some people are happier that way.

There’s no need to call someone names because they don’t fit into your box of uniqueness.

Sorry guys, but Karen’s comic is excellent, and she seems like a nice person. I feel the need to defend. 🙂

  26. Chuck says:

Hey, I just found this the other day and I just read through all the comics. Amazingly funny. Keep it up.

  27. Gwen_Goth says:

    i have an easy solution!

simply only wear black, or dark shades, as i do.

and voila! – instanly the “lights” wash disappears 😉

  28. Rocky A says:

lol use tide coldwater, the only time the darks in my darks run is when i use hot water .. so problem solved 😛
also its supposidly better for the environment

  29. Rocky A says:

and you dont need to be goth to wear all black, aby your a burgler or a street mugger of some type or perhaps just like black as i do.. mind i do have lights aswell .. occasionally ill wear all white just to see how people react .. also when its really bright out .. its cooler that wearing black .. temperatue wise

  30. XRS says:

Hehe, that’d be usefull, but only if you had a grow ray XD

Meh, I only bother not mixing red and whites sinc eit comes out pink. Everything else goes in together XD

  31. Nate says:

    1) shrink rays usually come with the reversing ‘growth’ option, ala honey I shrunk the kids.

    2) only one person noticed Biff isn’t wearing a shirt for whatever reason

  32. Bob says:

imagine using one of these for packing your entire computer rig into a small box, with desk and all, then when you get to whare yer going, deshrink it, and poof! instant fun-station, because playstation is alredy in use 🙁

  33. DEC says:

I have heard that if you are washing colored clothes, and you have something white that you need to wash, the only thing you have to do is put some vinegar in and that if you do the white will keep white (I have never had any reason to buy vinegar), i do not know if it actually works but it may be worth a shot and if it does you may be able to wash different colored clothing without the colors mixing.

  34. Mint Sharpie says:

Oh wow, we reeeeeeally need something like this…

  35. pieman says:

imagine biff wearing the shrunken clothes

  36. Sarah says:

You don’t need any special detergent. If you wash them all on Cold/Cold, they can be washed together. I do it all the time.

  37. Angel says:

Yus, all the clothes in on cold. 😀
Plus, if you don’t have enough for a full load, just move the selector from “Large Load” to medium or small. 😉

  38. Miranda says:

I’m so glad someone besides me noticed that Biff is (probably) naked.

  39. Melindotty says:

I DO wash all my lights and darks together, if nothing else, I invent a new color.

  40. Darkpheonix XIII says:

When i have my own house, all of my clothes will be dark. Right now, i’m buying black jeans.

  41. Elkian says:

But shrinking would take a lot of time, doing them one by one like that.

  42. Steffen says:

And no one’s going to comment on the fact that the clothes would be ruined beforehand?.. I don’t think it’d be too convenient.

  43. Sarah says:

BTW – The Color Catchers mentioned in an earlier post really do work…I’m thinking they are made by Shout. Also it is pretty much always a good idea to wash all of your clothes on the Cold/Cold setting since heat sets stains and shrinks your favorite t-shirt. It’s nice to finally share some things learned on the road of life!

  44. the_gail says:

I just wash everything together, regardless of color, or amount. In college I was famous for stuffing everything including sheets into a washer once a week. It always smelled a little dirty, but it was cheaper than doing more than one load.

  45. Soltueur says:

I need a handheld version of that for road trips.

  46. Ian says:

Why doesn’t Biff just grow giant Washers and Dryers?

  47. Random Girl! says:

omg I have always wanted to do exactly this! I used to fantasise about it when I had to do like five loads of whites or somesuch during my laundry week.

  48. DaemonThanatos says:

hehehe…epic. And something i would TOTALLY do. I have a lot of clothes…most of which are in storage right now… :/
