Welcome back Biff! We missed you!

  2. boog says:

Also the perfect breakfast to frisbee across the room to a hungry friend.

  3. Karen says:

    Genius. Patent this!

  4. Roborat says:

This one made me laugh. Good job sir. One thought however, I hope you aren’t going to eat the dental floss, it could do interesting things to your innards.

    1. Chris says:

No, I was thinking the candy floss variety not dental.

      1. Roborat says:

Ah, never thought of that, makes much more sense.

    2. Casual reader says:

I had to google, cause, “No. Way.”

And yep, there it is, along with Bacon Mouthwash and Bacon Toothpaste.

  5. Hooray, Biff is back!

That doesn’t sound like the most tasty breakfast to me, but hey, as long as Biff likes it then it’s OK I guess? (But we don’t have any syrup on our pancakes where I live, so that must be why this sounds weird to me…)

  6. onex says:

That sounds like a delicious breakfast. RoguesAndGhosts, I’m sure you could alternately fill it with preserves or whatever you generally put on your pancakes.
I am reminded of the circular, machine made “no crust peanut butter and jelly sandwiches” I’ve seen in stores, though. *Those* look unpleasent. Biff’s idea, on the other hand…

  7. ZeoViolet says:

Don’t forget to drop some butter in that pocket first!

  8. kingklash says:

    Syrup pockets for pants-cakes?

  9. Matthew says:

Where do I get bacon floss?

  10. Dell says:

Did Biff go on vacation again?

  11. Wind Lane says:

With Biff becoming a project you’re not as interested in continuing, why not set yourself a way to have it wrap up and call it finished?

I know that for me I always like when a show I’ve been enjoying knows that the season they’re on will be their last. It lets the writers walk it off into the sunset. The shows that just get cancelled out of the blue – Firefly is the perfect example – there’s just no closure whatsoever and it’s annoying as well as a huge let down.

With Biff not being episodic that’s less of an issue, but by setting and working towards a finish date it allows you to close the book in a better way as you say goodbye to this strip. It lets the fans down easy rather than it being abrupt if the strip’s just abandoned.

If this advice is completely unwarranted, feel free to ignore it, but I got the very strong impression that you were feeling like your Biff days were over.

    1. Dell says:

      100% agree with this.

    2. Casual Reader says:

@Wind Lane Are you saying you can’t find serenity without closure, or the other way around?

  12. Dell says:

    Seriously?? Two weeks and nothing??

    1. Chris says:

Sorry guys. My father passed away and I’ve had trouble writing Biff ever since. Trying and failing to make Biff comics was very stressful and depressing for me. Deciding to take a break and only draw Biff when I’m inspired is how I’m dealing with it at this point.

      1. In my opinion, I think you should take the time you need. My best wishes for you, Chris!

  13. Dell says:

Yay I get to look like a heartless dick! Sorry for the bad news. My condolences.

  14. Roborat says:

Sorry to hear of your loss, I can understand the feeling, I lost my father less than a year ago, and I am still trying to recover. Take all the time you need.

  15. Rhiakath Flanders says:

Sorry for your loss, Chris. Don’t worry about this right now. Take how much time you feel you need, draw Biff only when you feel up to it. We’re not going anywhere, and we’ll all keep opening this page daily.

    Hope you get well.
    A sincere hug from Portugal

  16. Sporge says:

Sorry for your loss! He will always be with you in your mind, and though the emotions may never heal fully the pain will lessen. Focus on the good times.

I still try to check for new comics here often though, they always give me a good feeling 😀

  17. Jenny says:

I’ve just caught up on all the Biff comics. I’ve spent many a lunch break giggling in my cubicle. Thanks for all the laughs!

I’ll definitely keep checking for new comics but I wanted to say that it’s totally understandable to take time off while grieving a loss. Especially since your job is to be funny. It’s hard to see humour sometimes when your heart is aching.

Your fans will always support you!

    Take care!
    🙂

  18. Mabel says:

I’m so sorry for your loss. Take all the time you need for rest and recovery. I have been enjoying old Biff comics in the meantime.

  19. Swagner says:

Oh man, I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I totally understand how that would put a damper on the funny.

  20. Eric D says:

Great idea, I’ll make a one with fried eggs filled with siracha sauce to keep in my shirt pocket… ready to go to work 😀

  21. balorth says:

I hope you are doing better.I am still hoping biff can come back 🙂

  22. Dell says:

Will Biff be coming back soon?

  23. Matthew says:

Shame, 4 more comics and you would have made it 1900.

  24. Jess says:

Hey, Chris, I don’t know if you’re still reading these, but I just want you to know that you are loved and valued and that things will get easier. The death of a parent is a horrible thing to have to go through. It’s been two years since my Dad died and I still miss him. I miss the support he gave and the knowledge that no matter where I was, what I’d done or what time it was, there was someone who would listen and love me anyway. But it does get easier. I promise. Pinky swear. So hang in there and know that we’re here for you, when you’re ready.
Just wanted you to know that some crazy chick on the internet is thinking of you.
    Lots of love and hugs,
    Jess.

  25. V-Beast says:

Sorry to hear about your dad. For what it’s worth, time does help.
I read this comic every morning, and when there isn’t a new one, I click on random, so I’ve been able to get my “Biff fix” daily. Today is the first time I read comments and found out the bad news. You’ve got a very creative brain, hope to see you back soon.

    1. Chris says:

Thank you. Also be sure to read my other strips at maximumble.com and minimumble.com

  26. dave says:

I go to each of your pages daily, just letting you know fans are still checking bookofbiff, and hoping you’re feeling better

    1. bubujin_2 says:

Ditto that! I’ve been diligently checking for a new Book of Biff but didn’t think to check the comments until now. So sorry to learn of the loss of your father. While you might not be inspired to continue Book of Biff (for the short term one hopes), I’m impressed that you can still devote time and effort to Minimumble and Maximumble. Please hang in there and continue to do what is best for you.

  27. Matthew says:

Want to let you know I check the site every week for new content. No rush but hope to see biff again.
