#184 – Ice

Well my free ride this winter is over. It was negative ten degrees Fahrenheit this morning when I left for work. In a few months I’ll be wishing this comic was real but right now, everything is cold.

My God! It’s so dumb, it’s positively brilliant! I want an iceberg sticking into my kitchen so I can have cold water to! Oh, and, er… First Post?

  2. Hunter says:

Man, I want to know how Biff gets the money to do all of this stuff.

  3. Tinned Moron says:

Hmmm, do you know who Biff called to have that installed? I want one.

  4. KryHavok says:

I’d love that. And if you want ice to take with you, there ya go ^.^

  5. DMC_Run says:

“Roy”: For the NEXT panel, we should see Biff squashed beneath the ice, when the ‘berg melts enough to fall thru that ceiling-hole… this is just another catastrophe waiting to happen!

“Hunter”: I’m guessing it’s the insurance-money from his previous accidents.

During WWII there were several series of training-films (usually cartoons, of course) that demonstrated what NOT to do by showing how dumb choices could get you maimed or killed… Biff is following in a long & distinguished tradition!

  6. Roy_vf1s says:

DMC: Yes, yes he is… but that reminds me of something that would be funny to see – a Biff VD film. Too bad that’s to, er… naughty a subject. 😛

  7. Corey says:

Heheh, like a coffee maker…but more watery. I love it.

  8. Robert says:

I believe the water isn’t the only thing that’ll keep cool…

  9. LordRetard says:

Oh my god that is such an amazing idea, if only it were practical in some way whatsoever. Still, I love it.

Man, imagine a *coffee glacier*. That would be so amazing. But it would be cold. It will be an ice coffee glacier.

  10. Mike *last name will not be given* says:

I finally finished reading the archives…
    One-hundered and eighty-four masterpieces.
You, Sir Chris are truly a master of the webcomic world.
    I salute your greatness.
    Biff RULES!!!

  11. Endless says:

*brings in a back up band*
    *sings, “an ode to chris”*

By the way, is this Iceberg from the glacier that Biff crushes pennies under?

  12. Roy_vf1s says:

You know, Endless raises an interesting point.

And another thing: Where does Biff live that he has access to strange monsters, offices, temperate mountain ranges, glaciers, and northern/southern sea icebergs?

  13. Diego Draw says:

What does Biff actually do for his job? He has tons of money. Getting an iceberg installed in the office, getting living couches that can eat him alive, levitation potions, and he has an office job. Wow. Must be something spectacular.

  14. machine146 says:

Everybody should have an ice berg in their office.

  15. Iethloc says:

Perhaps Biff just used his handy-dandy levitation potion to move the glacier! And coffee. Gotta have coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Does Biff drink coffee? Am I the only one who got a sense of dread when thinking of Biff + caffeine?

  16. Does Biff have a nuclear space heater under his desk? *chuckle*

We had an ice machine in the office building I used to work in that malfunctioned/ran out frequently, causing untold frustration and anger. I guess Biff never had that problem. 😀

    Roy_vf1s: Oregon?

Iethloc: Biff seems to be pretty laid-back. I’m betting coffee would make him, I dunno, normal. *shudder* You’re right, that IS scary…

  17. calan ree says:

mmm and ice coffee glacier sounds heavenly, LR

  18. hmm, It was time for Biff to defrost his freezer.

  19. hmm, It was time for Biff to defrost his freezer.

  20. Xerol says:

Is this the same iceberg he tried to crush a penny with?

  21. xenor says:

If he gets that amount of money from insurance, his premiums must be HUGE.

  22. Le Blue Dude says:

Dude, you live near me! We had a mild winter here untill right around the day that this comic is for when it dropped to around -10!

  23. CynicalSavant says:

Sure is gonna suck when it melts just a bit too much…

  24. APic says:

It’s his way of getting revenge since the iceberg wouldn’t crush his penny.

  25. DemonRex says:

Maybe when it melts down enough, he’ll find a dead mammoth in it.

  26. Darkpheonix XIII says:

the crushing of the too much melted iceberg could be avoided if he makes a cone around it to keep it from falling.

  27. Hoboapple says:

That must have cost a fortune! But it’s convinient…

  28. Rachel says:

conveiniont, but in the future this may cause another water problem comic.

  29. Sleepingorange says:

Mmm, a delicious constant supply of cool, refreshing… high-salinity sea water! Ew.

  30. Elkian says:

I thought icebergs and glaciers were two different things.
Otherwise, would the Titanic have run agroudn on a glacier?
    Are glaciers only on land?
    Are icebergs only in water?
WHEN WILL THEY STOP TOYING WITH US?!?!!?!?!
    …..

  31. Elkian says:

Salt melts ice. Some salt freezes or somesuch, but it wouldn’t be in that.

  32. Angela says:

One has to wonder what sort of job Biff has to give him as much money as he has…
    He’d make a great stunt man…but they don’t have cubicles. :/

  33. Hornswaggler says:

Hmm…why couldn’t he use his bending water powers to put it up there? Not a smart move, Biff, think of the money you could have saved to buy more stuff at 3 a.m.!

  34. Ian says:

…Until you move an inch to the side, mao.

  35. Howls Like Wolf says:

Icebergs can be either frozen sea water or broken off pieces of glaciers.

  36. Pix says:

😮 wow, who would take the effort, biff of course.
