Chapter: Comics
I remember being a kid and being amazed at shows like Star Trek where they could ask a computer almost any question imaginable and it would have the answer in a few seconds. It only dawned on me recently that I have this same basic interaction with Google 20 times a day. The main difference is just the voice interaction. Seems like that technology is becoming more and more of a reality. When my son is grown up he will se an old Star Trek rerun and laugh at how little they talked to their computers.

I don’t think I would really use this voice interaction thing if i had a voice activated device. I would feel ridiculous if I talked to a computer, phone etc., and what if the microphone on it would get hacked?
Also, It struck me that Dexter (Dexter’s Laboratory, not the other Dexter) talks way more to his computer than he types things or uses a computer mouse.
I’d hate to think what would happen if the Enterprise was powered by Google.
I can dictate to my pc. I said school, it wrote down pool, and kept messing up.
Oh well.
With voice recognition software, it’s just like being married. It gets what you said wrong and remembers it forever.
