Wow. for some reason that looks like it would work. unfortunately for me, if I could survive that I’d have to have the top of my head reattached by the end of the day.
As seriously tempting as that looks, just to do it, I’ll stick with shutting my mind off in a trance. Trance does wonders (Wondered why they call it that :D).
What’s really disturbing is that in reality, there’s a small space in the human head that can withstand a puncture, which would explain how some people can survive harpooning themselves.
Ahhh… I always have songs stuck in my head. I have an IPOD in my head with all the catchy songs that get stuck in my head and since I can’t remove them, I have to find a song that is annoying but less annoying to listen to or sing it and get it stuck in someone else’s head. Another way is to actually listen to the song multiple times til you get sick of it outside your head and it SHOULD stop… Needless to say, I’m pretty much stuck to my computer and my Y.U.P. and have about every possible beat song stuck in my head.
…there are pressure points on both hands, in the fleshier area of the web of the thumb. Rub really hard, and most headaches lighten up. It’s the only pressure point that I know works. (80 – 95% of the time.)
Mostly if I write out the song it goes away, but then there’s what I call “Guitar Hero Seizures.” It’s pretty much when you’re so stuck on a GH song that you’re actually fingering the guitar riffs. My friend and I have that problem from time to time XD
This comic reminds me of Trepanning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trepanning) which apparently is/was used to cure headaches by Aboriginals- I’m often tempted to try it when I have a tension headache myself.
I beg to differ. I would do this if there were any power tools handy.
There are some things worse than death. Having Numa Numa stuck in your head for 4,384 consecutive days is one of those things.
I always have a song in my head. It keeps me at least approximating sane. If I get a stupid one stuck in my head… that’s what CD players and all the music on my computer are for. If not, well, I know so many stupid songs that I can blare at the top of my lungs.
There are people who actually DO that, mainly depression and stuff, saw it on a documentary, but they used hand drills, made my head hurt just watching, they rekoned it made them feel better, even a guy that did it too far and tore the outer bit that surrounds the brain rekoned it was good, :S at least biff is only ink, he can get away with it π
I tend to get songs from the musical 1776 stuck in my head.
I actually find them to be quite relaxing.. and oddly enough when I’m sick they make me feel better O_o one time I was sick as a frickin’ dog, bleeding out of both ears and just begging for death and a friend put 1776 in the DVD player and… well, I’ll let the emotes do the talking.

Yeah, we still call it the Curaga for whenever one of us gets sick.
Ever since my little sister discovered Lady Gaga, I keep getting seriously annoying songs stuck in my head. On the other hand it’s better than “Barbie Girl.” That makes me violent.
Biff’s on the right track but isn’t quite at the solution yet. Use the cordless drill on someone else Biff! Violence always gets voices out of my head!
Does that work?… Hang on, I’ll be back in a minute…
Maybe not… but it sure can be tempting. π
it depends on the song…i find myself wanting to do that drill thing when a pressure headache hits.
Yeah. I actually did contemplate doing this the day before I had a root canal. π
It actually does work, but it’s not a good idea if you do not have an incredibly high amount of resistance to pain.
>it depends on the songβ¦i find myself wanting to do that drill thing when a pressure headache hits.
How true that is…
I’ve had that feeling before.
Usually I settle for bangin my head into the wall.
Wow. for some reason that looks like it would work. unfortunately for me, if I could survive that I’d have to have the top of my head reattached by the end of the day.
I sing the songs that get stuck in my head, then I fall asleep and forget them.
I’ve had Motley Crue’s “Doctor Feelgood” stuck in my head for somewhere in the vicinity of 9 years.
I usually get a more acceptable song, such as “Happy Together” or “I Am The Walrus,” to override the annoying song.
This may not be the BEST solution, but it’s certainly better than a power drill to the head. Ouch. >.
Seriously biff has some good ideas. Whenever songs get stuck in my head i always have that urge to take a power tool and simply dig it out.
I wanted to do that today, I kept whistling that bit from Kill Bill…..@_@
As seriously tempting as that looks, just to do it, I’ll stick with shutting my mind off in a trance. Trance does wonders (Wondered why they call it that :D).
My forehead feels kinda funny thinking about that…
I have several songs going on in my head, all at the same time. It’s a convention of jukeboxes!
What’s Trance?
What’s really disturbing is that in reality, there’s a small space in the human head that can withstand a puncture, which would explain how some people can survive harpooning themselves.
It would probably work better through the ears.
The first time I saw this was in an advert on another comic. I thought his eyebrows were a stream of blood shooting out of his face.

I’ve always wondered if deaf people can get songs stuck in their heads…

I try that yesterday now it hurt and i cant do math good

there’s only one A, no L…I think.
Just in time for Christmas….no L, no L, no L, no LLLLLL……
…Mason? >_
WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?? *drills*
See, this sort of thing only really works when you’re made of ink…
I beg to differ. I would do this if there were any power tools handy.

Wost case scenario is when a song keeps you awake like that. And you have to get up at four.

Wow. Never thought I’d see an autotrephination comic.
I Just Can’t Get You Outta My Head…
We’ll just see about that!
*vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
Ha! Ha!
Wait…
Ad next to the comic when I read it: “Which Cordless Drill Should I Buy?”
Try “This is the Song That Doesn’t End”.
Dang, all these years and this is STILL my favorite Biff comic XD
The worst thing Biff found about having a song stuck in his head is that he got to wondering about how it got into his head without ears.

I get songs stuck in my head so often I’m starting to worry about my mental facilities.
Next week he’ll try the jackhammer
Oh ain’t that the truth!
Ever since my little sister discovered Lady Gaga, I keep getting seriously annoying songs stuck in my head. On the other hand it’s better than “Barbie Girl.” That makes me violent.
I like it when I have TWO songs stuck in my head at once. Mental cage match mashup awesomeness.
This looks remarkably like a sword-under-one-arm-trick.
Biff’s on the right track but isn’t quite at the solution yet. Use the cordless drill on someone else Biff! Violence always gets voices out of my head!
Reminds me of Pi.
