Chapter: Comics
I really am a different person at a job interview. I dress better, talk louder, pretend like I’m interested in what you are saying. Any joke you tell is amazingly hilarious. I’ll even insist on paying for dinner and refuse your offer… wait… was this a date or… what was your name again?
Today’s Maximumble comes up for air.

anybody got a chisel? or better yet, a jackhammer?
Job interview, date… There’s a difference?
@ Maskman: That’s Right! If you are “successful” you’ll get ….. to spend years working for the benefit of someone else with diminishing rewards.
First there’s bright-eyed enthusiasm and hope.
Then there’s just hope.
Then there’s disillusionment.
Next comes bitterness.
And a frenzied search for an exit.
Followed by despair.
Apathy comes last, and owns all… Until the next ‘new’ opportunity comes along!

odd just odd
I often refer to my boyfriend as an employee, and our relationship as a contract. When he asked me out, I seriously considered making him fill out an application and asking for a resume.
