#1162 – Patience

Always make sure to read through the entire recipe at least once before starting. It’s really inconvenient when the party starts in 2 hours and you get to the step “Let stand in the refrigerator overnight.”

That spoon is bendy. BENDY SPOONS! You’d better copyright that, fast.

I don’t have many parties, I prefer small family gatherings. It’s better than a reminder I don’t have any friends to invite.

The hardest part is getting the food to stand at all much less overnight in the fridge. That’s why I made food pants. They’re made from Jalapeno peppers and cherry Jello. That combination will make any food stand.

@Gwid — It must be even better when some of your friends are family.

I’ve never had serious recipe disasters. Many of my problems stem from the fact that I don’t have one of the ingredients listed, so I never get any farther.

My main problem is that I read recipes thoroughly the first time, come back and make them six months later, and get careless because I’ve already read them.

That and they tend to include ridiculous things like calling for 8 times as much butter as you actually need to saute that quantity of onions, and the instruction phrase “puree the soup” >.>
